Otherwise, this is a fab deal. I highly recommend paying for the accidental damage protection, as well. I've always got the on-site service, though I don't see those words listed on the page today. Don't know if they no longer offer it at all, or if they still offer it at the Premium Support Plus rate (which is only $119 for 2 yrs). IF you can still get on-site, it's so worth it. (added: looked into, still on-site for anything but basic warranty - very sweet.)
Accidental damage protection isn't just protection against accidents, it makes sure any problem gets taken care of. I've heard many people say, with many different computer brands, that their warranty wasn't honored because the company felt the damage was caused by an accident (even if it wasn't, if it's something that could have been caused by an accident, you may get denied). So just get the accident coverage up front and save some hassle.
I always buy the extended warranty, and at the time I got this there was a deal on 4-year coverage, so I've still got a year to go. If it were out of warranty though, even though it's still running strong, I'd be damn tempted to take this deal up. I am looking for a laptop for my husband right now, but he wants a larger screen and numpad. Damn, I wish he didn't, as this deal is really quite good!

What if you install ram/ssd, will it void warranty? Any experience with Lenovo warranty fir same type of support?
That's been my holdup, I almost grabbed a Lenovo deal yesterday, but couldn't quite decide to do it. My husband can be a klutz, and the main thing that gets broken when he drops his computer is not guaranteed to be covered by on-site with Lenovo, but it is with Dell. I wouldn't know for sure until I had the Lenovo and eventually needed service, and even then, I'd bet it would all depend on what the different rep said each time (and it would almost surely be more than one time, I'm an old hand at having to call for repairs on my husband's laptops!). I may grab a Lenovo yet, but so hesitant. Knowing that Dell will fix it every time, on-site, for any problem (if you have accidental coverage) is a huge plus when you have someone that's accident-prone.

Sure. I will also check out with Lenovo as I have taken next 4 years accidental warranty 🙂
Mine came less than five minutes after I placed the order
