Be sure to read the omronconnect privacy policy. I'm pretty sure they sell your health data.

" We share personal information with third-parties for their own services and marketing purposes, unless you opt out of this type of sharing by contacting us by phone at (866) 216-1333 or online by completing this Contact Us form indicating your request to opt out of such sharing. California residents may also opt out by clicking the "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link that is prominently displayed in our Site's footer."

The only way to opt out is to delete your account and not use the app, and the app is the only way to get the info to your phone.

We own this exact model (bought on Amazon) and it seemed to work fine for a while and then it started giving wildly inaccurate readings. My wife who was monitoring her BP during pregnancy brought the machine with her to the doctors office and it was way off from what their machines showed. We always kept it in the zippered case and never dropped it. We also went to the local medical supply company and when we mentioned we had bought an Omron they told us that they had to stop selling the brand altogether because they had become very inaccurate. Amazon wouldn't let us send the actual unit back but did provide us with a refund, so now we have an inaccurate BP monitor just sitting in the cabinet. Just food for thought.

I would recommend this only because it it can average out your blood pressure, but also its simple enough for those who dont understand/read english. My mother uses this everyday while recording her bp on a notebook. from there i can assess her blood pressure and adjust her meds daily based on these readings. my profession: ER nurse.
Adjusting BP meds on a daily basis based upon a 100 ish dollar home automatic BP cuff?

Do not reccomend this practice

I mean I wouldn't expect any cheap home device to be as accurate as one costing several hundred/thousand dollars. That said if you took your BP 10 times in 10 minutes with any automatic device or expect the numbers to be fairly different. Even more so when you're taking off/reapplying cuffs/different cuffs.

Home stuff is predominantly for trending regardless of how accurate it is

Similar experience, won't be buying this brand anymore because I spent so much on it and it was so inaccurate

Highly recommend this model as a medical professional. It can sync with your phone over Bluetooth, logging your blood pressure measurements over time, allowing my patients to easily show me their BP trends. Only downside is the footprint of the unit which is twice the size are the lower models.
I have the wired model of this and could agree more. Very good unit, but kind of big. I leave mine out on a desk downstairs in an unused bedroom so that I don't I have to put it away and pull it back out every day

Yes i had mine compared to dr office. Very accurate. i was spoiled by Qardio size but that thing was very problematic with batteries, design. I was on my 4th replacement unit within first 3 years. it died exactly after 5 yr warranty ended. i'm done with Qardio brand.

Had a model from this company several years ago (not this model), and the readings were all over the place. Thought it was user error. So I took it to my doctor's office to compare with the readings they were getting from their equipment. It was confirmed that the model was providing inaccurate readings. Maybe it was a lemon? Who knows.
i had same in the past with omron. then switched to cheap walmart and pharmacy brand manual. those were more consistent. then wanted to try $100 wireless Qardio. also consistent but garbage quality. now have this unit. so far still accurate after about 1 month of use.
