Unscented is supposed to be great for towels. Apparently whatever is added to give detergent a scent also diminishes the absorption ability of towels.

I've also heard that some people are allergic to scented stuff. And of course some people just don't like strong scents.

If none of the above are of interest, then you're probably right. This isn't the product for you.

I agree, I bought the scented by mistake once, washed one load of laundry with it and threw it away, couldn't stand it!

Agreed. I want to know it's actually clean instead of just smelling like it's clean. Seems like a gimmick. Cheaper the detergent is made, the smellier it is.

But it is not a better deal than the Kirkland UltraClean Free & Clear which is $16.49 for 194 fl oz

Kirkland isn't strictly as good as Tide, but Consumer reports says if is best cleaning per dollar

I don't love scented ones. Unscented laundry detergent liquid soap is always my first choice.
