This is $20 cheaper than yesterday, and I think I figured out why...and I'm pretty sure its an error...
Everything on their page that has a discount of greater than 20% (in this example the gun is 40% off) is getting an ADDITIONAL 20% off (excluding the items marked "Final Price"). Must add to cart to see these prices!!!
Needless to say, I'll be returning the one I bought yesterday!
I looked through everything on the site, and these two nail guns are by far the best deals. My local store does have a ton of these 2aH batteries with a charger for $24.80 that's not terrible if you want to keep the weight down on these guns...

For me it comes to about $40 total cheaper with price difference and free shipping (make sure coupon code spirit20 is applied). Of course they were ultra quick to ship out my order from yesterday so I think I'm hosed. =(
Framing nailer experts. Which is the more commonly used between 21 degree and 30 degree? I ordered the 21 before I saw the 30 and now feel like I should order the 30.
I am not in the trade but buying for possible future use.

Gotcha, I'm doing store pickup because I have one a few miles from my house. $178.08 today, $201.39 Yesterday...this is a crazy good price. $23.31 cheaper...so I bought one of those 2aH batteries to justify it as "FREE" in my mind lol.

I also would like to know. Just did some quick research and 30 degree holds more nails with paper strips and fit tighter spaces vs 21 degree has a plastic strip?

21° lets you use full head nails (which are required in some building codes). the 30° uses "clipped head" nails, but allows almost twice as many nails to be loaded at once...
Both are commonly available at home depot, similarly priced, and much cheaper if you buy 5000 at a time.
The 30° are usually held together with paper, whereas the 21° are held together with plastic (make sure you wear safety glasses because little pieces of plastic fly out with every nail driven).
Other than that it really is personal preference. Aesthetically, I like the 21° full head nails on anything that is going to be visible.
Anyone have issues with these seating nails? The early models we had couldn't put a nail in all the way and required a hammer to finish over half the time.

As a builder all the nail guns in my area are 30 degree. It was not until I looked online that there was an option for 21. Turns out that some jurisdictions will not allow a 30 degree nail because part of the head is clipped off so more nails can be inserted. It was a belief that because the nail had less of a head it had less holding power. I live in central WI and found that 30 degree was allowed. Turns out a large scale manufacturing plant lobbied to get 30 degree accepted so they could store more nails in the guns and would be able to be more productive. So everyone here uses 30 degree. Yet your area might be different.

When I frame decking, the 30 is used in areas that are covered or concealed. The paper held clipped heads allow for more nails, less junk in the air/ground, and a better penetration.
When doing anything that requires a full head, is visible, or is specified, I use the 21.
The 31 also allows you to get into 12in on center studs/joist much easier.
I hate guys who use 21 and their little plastic bits get into decking gaps, between materials, and are all over the floor.
"The RIDGID R09895B 30 degree cordless hoseless framing nailer indicates it takes Clipped Head nails but RIDGID support confirmed it can take Full Head nails as well. That's important as Clipped Head nails don't meet building code in some places. I had no problem loading or using Full Head nails making a small project to hold electric net fence for winter storage. "Q:Is this for Clipped Head or Round Head Nails? The pictures stated clipped but the description mentions round head nails. Drives 2 in. to 3-1/2 in. full round head framing nails into engineered lumber

And I sent yesterday to my wife for Christmas... Not knowing if she bought it.
At $168 I bit the bullet and hope she didn't, lol.
