i am in CA, and talked to buyDig customer support and they said while burn-in is covered, if an issue happens, customer is responsible to ship the tv to service center at their own expense and insurance/serviceCenter will evaluate that case.
i think same applies for NY.
in other states, they would send an engineer to customer's address to verify and check and support.

This sounds like the burn-in warranty is almost pointless in CA/NY then if customer bears shipping cost.

Does anyone have more info on this or any past experiences?

November 25 (Black Friday)...?

I get that most of the time Black Friday deals are either lower end products or SKUs made cheaply for Black Friday, but at this point you are betting AGAINST the current trend in regular price drops not to expect a $1597 + $150 GC or similar promotion.

At a certain point, waiting for a 65" C2 to get even cheaper may be worth it, but you have to ask yourself, would you say you got $100 worth of value in a single month using the TV?

This could be the deal I've waited for... Decisions decisions. I was looking at the Costco deal for same timeframe ($2500) but its 5yr warranty does not cover burn-in and this includes the extra $175 GC.

I'd be upgrading my 65b7 that has had burn-in twice. First time the panel was replaced under warranty. The second time it is out of warranty and we are just living with it for now.

Nope. My order still sitting there. They're taking their sweet time.
My order details say shipped, but FedEx says they haven't picked it up yet. No luck with emailing customer service.

C2 or Sony A80CK , 65" please?
I am leaning toward the sony because of the audio quality but concern about the brightness. Seems to be ok in Costco but not sure at home.

May I ask which 2.1 HDMI cables you purchased? I need to do the same…
I bought the one from Amazon "iBirdie 8K HDMI 2.1 Cable 10 Feet CL3 in Wall Rated 8K60Hz 4K120Hz". Or you can order from monoprice. Make sure it is 2.1 with 8k60Hz. So far I am loving the 77 c2.

Since monoprice will take more than a week, I decided Amazon for 1 days shipping.

How much is the 5 yr warranty at Best Buy? Or am I missing something regarding Best Buy extended warranty with financing?
Cover Burn-in?
The warranty from buydig is useless. After it burns in an image they're not going to replace it. They'll just give you $200 for the cost of the warranty. It's right in the terms of service.

This is wrong. You may be confused with the All-State warranty. The following is directly from the CPS Warranty [buydig.com] product page
  • Accidental Damage coverage
  • Warranty covers the purchased product against defects in material or workmanship for 4 years starting 30 days after purchase
  • Impact Damage
  • Dropping while moving or mounting the TV
  • From kids playing ball in the house
  • Burn in covered - usually not covered by the OEM
  • Remote Control replacement - hot swap, no question asked
  • Tech Support Included - initial product setup and/or configuration
  • Authorized service dispatched by Consumer Priority Service

Here's some fun math - remember that "Pythagorean's theorem" we never needed from school? Well, since TVs give us diagonal measurements (Hypotenuse), and the aspect ratio of ALL TVs are the same (16:9), we can use A^2+B^2=C^2.

The best part is the aspect ratio is a perfect square. 16 is 4 squared, and 9 is 3 squared, and that means 16 + 9 = 25, which is 5 squared. What does that mean?

That means that for ANY DIAGONAL MEASUREMENT for ANY TV, the TV is 4/5 or 80% of the diagonal measurement wide, and 3/5 or 60% of the diagonal measurement tall, every time.

77" = (77*.8)*(77*.6)=61.6*46.2 = 2,845.82 square inches.
83" = (83*.8)*(83.6)=66.4+49.8 = 3,306.72 square inches.

3,306.72/2,845.82 = 16% more area for the tv, even though 83/77 is only 7.79% more diagonal area. This has a LOGRITHMIC (diminishing, opposite of exponential) affect on area the larger the starting size.

the 65" is 18% larger than the 55" (65/55), but 44% more area
This math is all wrong.

Sure, TV's are 16:9 aspect ratio which means a width:height ratio of 1.78. Your math assumes you can just take the square root of 16 and 9 and you land on a width:height ratio of 4:3 or 1.33.

Correct math would be sqrt(16^2+9^2)=18.35" diagonal meaning width is ~87% of diagonal (16/18.35) and height is ~49% of diagonal (9/18.35).

While those cables may work for you and your purposes I just wanted the mention that they are NOT to my knowledge a certified "HDMI Ultra High Speed HDMI® Cable" which is the official name specified by the HDMI Group to be in compliance with the HDMI 2.1 specification. Unless the cable or the packaging has the tag with a hologram and QR code as shown at the following link then they are not certified cables and therefore may not be fully compatible. (https://www.hdmi.org/spec21sub/ul...peedcable) That said, what people need to look for is the term "Ultra High Speed HDMI® Cable" as while HDMI 2.1 is the specification, the cable has a specific trademarked name. One brand that I recommend and use myself is by Zeskit. They're in the same price range as the ones you mentioned as well.

Are HDMI 2.1 cables different (connections wise) than HDMI 2.0 cables ? Or are we talking about another marketing ploy ?

If you live near a Video Only, you should be able to get it for $2199 with a 4 year warranty... Doesn't cover shipping, but still likely a better deal for those who are close to VO.

cant decide if i should go with C2 77 inch (quality perfection) or QN90B 85 inch (size)...both are around the same price

I sit about 13 ft from the TV...used to have an 82 and hard to justify going lower in size
