I have seen a lot of people saying this. I've experienced as well with the same phones pixels and LG phones. Girlfriend would have the same phone as me but would experience this problem sitting next to me while mine didn't. From what I have experienced and keep seeing, this appears to be a T-Mobile or T-mobile MVNO issue. Same exact phone switched to non T-Mobile network works perfectly. So its not the phone, it is T-Mobile

If you have a friend or someone with a non T-mobile phone, ask to borrow the sim and test it out. You'll probably see switching away from T-Mobile fixed the issue. I switched phone/sims with my girlfriend and the phone that worked perfectly no longer did and the phone that had problems now worked perfectly. It proved it was the SIM/Carrier/T-Mobile. We ordered her a new sim from the carrier thinking that would fix it, nope still same problem. Ultimately switched her out of Mint and to AT&T / Cricket wireless, same phone now works perfectly 100%
I think you may be right. I had connectivity issues with Tracfone using a SIM with T-Mobile service... but Tracfone is probably going to transition everyone over to Verizon towers so it may be a non-issue for Tracfone users in the future.

Consider the price point. Camera is probably best for a phone below 400$
There's some truth to that but the hype over Pixel "a" cameras is considerable..
Marques Brownlee did a photo compare of many top ($) phone cameras and he gave the Pixel 5a the win. I suspect the 5a camera might be better than the 6a and the new processor.
I wanted the 6a for the 60fps 4k recording but the 30fps 4k on my dated LG V40 is way better still.

Buying this from Amazon disqualifies you from Google Preferred Care.

Ignore the haters please. Every phone will have some problems.
I can provide some real world feedback. I have every Pixel phone from Pixel 1 XL all the way to Pixel 7. I will compare the Pixel 6a and the Pixel 6 to illustrate some improvements Google made in the A series phone.

Pixel 6a has the perfect size. 6.1" screen is easy to hold and use. The screen itself feels marginally better than the Pixel 6 side by side. Even though the 6a uses only a 60hz refresh rate. You would never realize the difference. The annoying FP of Pixel 6 is also improved in Pixel 6a.
The thermals in the 6a better as well, if only slightly. Perhaps because of the lower refresh rate screen. No connectivity issues at all, but I don't live in a rural area so YMMV.

Is the Pixel 7 better? Sure. But it is also $300 more. It has a larger screen which is not as handy and portable at the 6a's screen.

Overall $299 is not a lot of money for a phone that will get 3 years of Android updates and has the performance and AI smarts of Tensor. I would buy this in a heartbeat if I didn't already have 5 Pixel phones.

Avoid this phone like a plague. While the phone is great while it works and so is the camera, I constantly have issues with dropped calls and incoming calls going straight to voice mail … I didn't believe the reviews about bad reception and still bought it and now I am outside of the return window
I had the same problem until I dropped T-Mobile

The best part about this being on sale on Amazon is that they now lower the open box prices.

Just got one for $224 acceptable. Last time I got an "acceptable" pixel it was in like new condition.

They have good condition for $239. They come in and out of stock every few minute.

I hate my Pixel 6. I loved every Pixel before this generation, but it's just laggy and doesn't feel premium.
Apps malfunction more often than they should, etc.

Ditched my Samsung Galaxy and regretted it immediately.

Not me.
I had already moved from wirelss charging due to always forgetting the phone was charging and leaving it on charger for long periods.
Wireless charging is also a desk/counter space consumer since I had chargers that needed flat layout

Pixels have never been the best for video. They're only top tier for photos. Maybe you were misled in that aspect.

I ended up trading it in my for p7p. The only problem I had with 6a was that the fingerprint wasn't working like maybe 5% of the time .with the latest update battery was really good too

I wouldn't say "misled" since I never read reviews of Pixel 6a video.
It was the stills that were always acclaimed - and mine are very over-sharpened - something amateurs can mistake for "great" - "wow man look how sharp those photos are!"

Is this a good upgrade from my Galaxy S8 (work phone)? - mostly used for calls, navigation & camera. I Have a S20+ for personal phone which I'm super happy w/, but overkill for work.
