Avoid this phone like a plague. While the phone is great while it works and so is the camera, I constantly have issues with dropped calls and incoming calls going straight to voice mail … I didn't believe the reviews about bad reception and still bought it and now I am outside of the return window

We have 3 of these phones in my family. None of them have any issues

The description clearly says "Unlocked". What reviews are you referring to?

Call Google and tell them you have a swollen battery. They'll usually send you a new phone or some type of credit for a new phone.
Service ticket in progress Thanks!

Deal is suddenly super hot with the $100 and $100 referral. Going to use this for sure with a friend or two.

Excellent phone for running GrapheneOS or CalyxOS. ParanoidAndroid already has a beta for it, unofficial LOS alpha is out as well, official LineageOS should be available in a month or two.
Have there been any reports about GOS, COS or LOS improving thermals/battery life?

Teen son needs a new phone for Christmas and I didn't think he would like the smaller size of the Pixel 6a so I've been searching for a Pixel 6. Finally today Amazon had stock (and a sale for $399) on the 128GB version. In case anyone else is looking for the 6, here's the link:

Good deal! That being said, I think you might be better off going straight to the Pixel 7 via trade-in and referral. You can pretty easily bring the price of that down to $300-350 net with minimal effort.

The Pixel 6 isn't a terrible phone but it has real modem issues that are hardware related and can't really be fixed. Could be frustrating for him.

Thanks! I've been struggling to find the best mid-ish level phone. Currently we are all Moto users and have never spent more than $200 on a phone. I don't think the Motos are worth anything trade in Smilie I'm looking at a 6 Pro or 7 Pro for me since I need a better camera. He just needs consistent internet for the games he plays. We pulled the trigger on the 6 and plan to continue to look for a better deal/phone. Thanks to Amazon we can return for free if we find something better.

Totally, and just fyi the easiest trade-in route here, if you wanted to put a little effort in, is buying a reconditioned iphone xr from Straight Talk for $100+$35 plan (1 month) for $135+tax. Then trading it in to google for $410 in credit, then using someone's promo (friend, family, whoever) to get the $100 credit.

You'd be looking at:

Pixel 7 price: $599
iPhone XR price: $135
iPhone XR trade-in: -$410
Google store credit: -$100

All in cost there is like $225+tax for the 7. 7 Pro obviously comes out to more but you get the gist.

Awesome! Thanks! I have done a lot more work for a lot less savings. I will really look into it. I'm guessing it's pretty easy to find a promo code online. Does Google have a trade in limit? i.e. Can I do this twice?

You can do it twice, definitely. I've traded in 7 phones to google for just this promo, and another 2 for the 6a trade-in promos.

How do the "Pixel Superfans" get this invite? Was it sent via eMail or something they can generate on some website? Asking because I also am a member of that group. But other than this thread and few blogs, I have received no eMail regarding this referral program.

It's really sad seeing lurker opportunists posting their self-promoting codes here. 0 contribution.

The price dropping so fast is a red flag imo

It's at the google store, not target.
