It's the mic that is noise cancelling, if you actually read the full post, or the product details. It states that in both. No one is trying to mislead you. The mic on this headset is unidirectional.

Unidirectional mics are most sensitive to sound arriving from directly in front – the angle referred to as 0 degrees – and less sensitive in other directions. This makes unidirectional microphones effective at isolating the desired on-axis sound from both unwanted off-axis sound and ambient noise.

Not marketing BS at all, you are just misunderstanding the application of it.

Solid deal, but something like the CCA CRA's could be a better buy for this price. However, this is a great balance of durability and sound quality. Also, this does isolate the voice better than a traditional mic (at the expense of quality).

What the seller of this headset means by "noise cancelling" is something else entirely: Some cheap foam for example is "noise cancelling". Mic facing your mouth is "noise cancelling". Fingers in your ears is "noise cancelling", Etc.

Pretty shameful marketing BS

I purchased this headset about 10 months ago. The sound reproduction is good but you have to like corded headsets. I have both corded and cordless and the cord really sucks. I've ridden over it multiple times with my chair and it is a softer rubber cable so it catches on almost everything.

I bought a pair of these as a back up for when my wireless die mid game… Well worth the money, but you will need the Xbox headset adaptor for premium use.
