$200 manufacturer's savings is valid 10/22/22 through 11/20/22. While supplies last.

Specs:
Intel Core™ i7-12700H Processor
12GB DDR4 RAM (8GB Soldered with a single slot for DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM, 4GB, can be upgraded 32GB (total of 40GB).

512GB PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 4.0 Solid State Drive (single slot, upgrade-able)

Microsoft® Windows 11 Home

Wi-Fi 6E (2x2/160) Gig+ and Bluetooth® 5.2
Integrated 720p HD Webcam without Privacy Shutter (weak point, but reviewers say that its not that bad)

Display: 14.5" Anti-Glare LED-Backlit OLED 2.8K (2880 x 1800) 16:10 Display - 120HZ; 100% DCI-P3 / 133% sRGB
brightness: 400 nits, 600nits HDR peak brightness

Integrated Intel® Iris Xe Graphics

Backlit Chiclet Keyboard

FingerPrint Reader

Ports & Slots: (good collection of slots)
1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
2x Thunderbolt™ 4 (Supports Display and PowerDelivery)
1x USB 2.0 Type-A (what USB 2.0 is doing in 2022?)
1x Combination Audio Jack
1x HDMI 2.0 (good for 4k 60hz external monitor)

3-Cell 70WHr Li-ion Battery

Dimensions: 12.69" W x 9.09" H x 0.70" D
Weight: 3.59lbs (~0.5lb heavier than its class!)

Overall, this not a gaming laptop and also may not be able to utilize the full power of i7-12700H, especially on sustained load, but should be plenty fast for people like me who need more RAM and a responsive machine, which can be hooked to an external monitor when needed. The biggest selling point of this laptop is it's amazing display with 120hz refresh rate. 16:10 aspect ratio gives it same vertical space as a 15.6 laptop with a 16:9 ratio.

overpaying for a CPU that will get thermal throttled.
Just pay for i5 and you'll prob get the same performance.
Had this laptop for about 2 months. Ended up returning it due to the heat that it produces from really, doing nothing. However, the screen and brightness is probably the best screens I've seen on a laptop. I used this much more than my 16" M1 Max MBP solely cause the screen on the Vivobook was so much better. Unfortunately, the heat and fan noise just kept me from keeping it. Don't get me wrong, it's a brilliant laptop for the price - portable and powerful. I really wish it didn't run so hot cause it was really a good laptop.
not that i dont believe you but.. i dont think theres an i5 version of this that is $500? I would actually like that more if i can find it. the annoying part is they are also always with 8GB soldered ram too, so not just an i5 vs i7 anymore

.7" is chonky for a 12700H, upgradeable ram slot and a 70whr battery? GTFOH. Might need to hit the gym…

.2" looks to be the long rubber foot that raises the rear off of a surface to get better airflow for the monster processor.

its the weight. i guess i'm just used to my 14" gram weighing in at just 2lbs. i wonder if that chasis can even cool down a 12700H though. either way i'm willing to give it a try. gonna also get the 3 year accidental protection for $99 from costco

Watch the video I linked. It doesn't get hot at all even benching. I think that Asus may have power limited the cpu (think I heard the reviewer say something to that affect).

Which means you are not getting the full performance. I'd rather pay $300 less for i5 and run at full power

Yeah, I just double checked the video and he goes over performance and says the cpu is capped at 45w max. Basically like disabling turbo.

Still a great performing laptop and you may be able to give more power with xtu or something 🤷 ♂️

At 10:40 is when he shows comparison graphs and you can see it how it does compared to full power cpus. Still bonkers for a 20 thread cpu…

If you know of one please link to it. Most of them are limited otherwise, poor screen, soldered ram only, ports limitations etc.
This and the Asus ROG Zephyrus 14" from bestbuy when it was $900 are the 2 best deals for price/performance...

Try a reviewer not getting paid to give a good review.

Other reviews say it's majorly throttled and poor battery life. However price is low enough it's getting attractive anyway.
