My response doesn't answer your question directly but:
Wellsfargo has incoming fund limitation of 10k in a month for personal checking/savings, which means if you were to move funds from discover to WF more than 10k in a month, transfer will likely fail and funds return to discover.

i.e. You can deposit 5k, withdraw it, then deposit again until you hit 35k total deposits to achieve the bonus. There are even DPs saying that you can move money between other Discover accounts like checking/money market to do this.
