It's not the sine wave that's the problem. Anything that's a "heater" uses WAY more watts than this thing is rated for.

Word of caution about this inverter - it has an unexpected auto shut off feature. See reviews and pg3 of the manual here: https://www.milwaukeetool.com/Pro...er/2846-20

Using my 12ah battery to power a led projector, fell just 15 minutes short of Ace Ventura when Nature Calls.

I do not think so. I have another inverter which is claimed 150w but with pure sine wave which can power on the heat blanket without problems. meanwhile I have tried to start from low level heat and it does not work this milwaukee inverter too ... which is surely lower than 175w.

Get a killawatt and see what it's pulling.

This same kit was $118 slickdeal from another vendor recently.

Basically a glorified phone charger. Doesn't charge the m18 battery either.

CPO. Actually it was $118.15 in Oct 2021, not 2022 as I thought initially.

That was the deal that exposed me to the world of Milwaukee... since then I've been in over my head with all of it. I still have tools in boxes hahaha.

As for the unit itself, it's quite handy - you can run a laptop off the thing on AC power for a good amount of time. Haven't done any tests on it or the draw via kill-a-watt but maybe one of these days.

Would a battery jump starter be the cheapest camping charger? I got a 20000mah for 60 bucks - audew is what I have and it's great.

For camping wouldn't it be better to have a goal zero and a cheapish folding solar panel?

Stinks the goal zero is a totally different platform, but it seems that it a knockoff would be a better fit for purpose at the expense of a totally different battery platform.

Seems the best value is to go with a car jump starter and some way to solar charge it IMHO for camping.

This set up is super useful, especially in my case as an aircraft mechanic working outside. I can charge lights when they die and small tools like my boroscope. I have used it on my TV. And it worked but I wouldn't recommend it. Also great for camping g to run fans for white noise.

Only AC Output ON:
•If connected AC load is <9W for 1 hour, the AC Output will shut off and require the user to reac- tivate the AC Output via AC Power On/Off button.

Only USB Output ON:
•If connected USB load is <3W for 6 hours, the USB Outputs will shut off and require the user to reactivate the USB Output via USB Power On/Off button.

AC + USB Output ON:
•If connected combined AC+USB load is <12W for 1 hour, the AC Output will shut off (USB Output will remain active). The USB Output will then shutdown if the connected USB load is <3W for
5 hours

So your complaint is that you can't use the inverter WITH A BATTERY IN IT to charge another battery? Why?
