Why is a previous gen product still so expensive? The AirPod Pros were already a bit too expensive imo, so this is not a very slick deal

Because it's still a good product?

What do you recommend as cheaper alternatives?

Average user: IE not an audiophile type person.
Aside from these features, I couldn't tell the difference between my Gen 1 and Gen 2
• FindMy feature
• Lanyard loop hole built in
• Battery life

If you really don't care about perfect sound quality (you probably wouldn't be looking at these if you did) then save money and get Gen 1s

Haven't these already been this price at Costco a bunch? I guess this is a good deal for non-members?

What are some better (Non Apple) earbuds that work well with an iPhone? I just lost one of my Gen 1 Airpod Pro earpieces, so looking for something new. I wasn't impressed with the Airpods though. But of course they work great with iPhone. Not an audiophile, just didn't the sound was all that great. Looking for plan B.

The only equivalent "works well with Apple" headphones are the Beats line. The sound profile is very different, but you still get all of the slick walled garden connectivity.

Outside of that, it's just gonna be random Bluetooth suggestions like Jabra, Bose, Sony. Their most expensive buds tend to be the highest rated. Apple is pretty good with random Bluetooth accessories; it shouldn't be an issue very often with pairing, etc.

As my old ones of these just failed 3 mo. out of warranty, I just bought these same ones from Costco for the same price. Plus at Target there's a 15 day return policy. At Costco there's no limit when you can return them. If a cheaper price pops up or a cheaper price on the AirPods Pro 2 I can return them. Thanks for thinking of us though.

Agree. Mine just failed 3 mo. out of warranty. So just bought some new ones so I have something to use until something better comes along. No limit on returns of these at Costco. $169.99.

Hard to believe that.

I mean mine lasts longer than yours and it still working like new even when I use it daily while working from home.
