Earn up to $80 extra cash back
Activate to earn an extra 4% Cashback Bonus® on up to $2,000 in new purchases from now through December 31, 2022.* This is on top of the standard rewards you earn.
Received in the email, so YMMV. There's no categories involved, so should be straight up 5% cashback for any purchase. When combining with current 5% categories from Discover, should get 9% cb on amazon.com and digital wallet purchase.

Did you guys who got the offer put the card in drawer (not use for longtime?)
We are pleased to provide you with a promotional Annual Percentage Rate (APR) on your Discover ®
card. The promotional rate of 0.00% will apply to new purchases made during the promotional period
between October 12, 2022 and October 11, 2023. After November 13, 2023 normal APR will apply.
I hope to get this again.

That being said, Discover was my 1st credit card. Discover was the only company that would give me a credit card as a poor college student, so I do appreciate them for that. My daughter now in college could also only get a Discover card (by herself, no co-signers) with no documented income. So they do serve a purpose.
BTW, I tried calling them the other day to get the contactless promo (some people getting $xx for tapping their card a number of times), but got shot down. I asked if I qualified for anything (I'm a very long time customer), and they said no. I was getting a bit irate, and said to give me a reason to use my Discover Card more, or maybe I should just cancel it since I wasn't using it much. They put me on hold, and gave me 3% up to $1500 for a whopping $45.
