how to 249?
I have one and mine definitely does charge with USB C. I have the 14 in one, BTW. I did read a review before buying that said that there's wouldn't charge over USB C. More than likely defective.
It's in the description but I don't see one in any of the images.
It's on the corner of the trackpad.
At least the type c does have DP and PD. Also HDMI 2.0
no nvme support in any of the m2 slots
depending on exactly what is your need or want for expandability. gateway does not support any nvme m2 so you are stuck with m2 sata which will likely not have capacity bigger than 1TB. Also the dell 7390 non2in1 has one sodimm so you can upgrade to 32GB ram. Also dell has backlit keys
The only real advantage the gateway has over the dell is that the cpu is a bit faster and the gpu also def a bit faster but still not fast enough for a lot of the newer game. But then again you are not getting either of these to play games. The gateway also has HDMI 2.0 whether as dell only have HDMI 1.4
I still would lean a bit more toward dell, but then again it's a close call.
You're right on the soldered SODIMM, but you're wrong about the NVME compatibility. I have this laptop (the 14.1"), and the pre-populated m.2 slot is NVME PCIe gen-3 and SATA compatible. The secondary slot is only SATA. I installed an SK Hynix P31 (PCIe 3 NVME) in the primary slot and moved the 512GB drive to the secondary slot. The build quality isn't the greatest (about the same as the cheap Dells), and the screen is the same crap you find in all the other budget Dells and HPs. For the price, you won't find better specs for a new laptop. There's none of the usual bloatware you'd normally find on Dells or HPs, so I didn't have to put a clean install of Windows like I usually do. That said, I'd purchase it with a credit card that offers extended warranty and protection, as customer support is abysmal, from what I've heard. The Gateway name was bought out by Acer, but they license the name to EVOO, who imports these laptops made by Shenzhen Bmorn Technology (a Chinese national company). I bought two of them a few months ago, when they were $250 in-store, and they've been great, but I fully expect my credit card company to have to intervene or reimburse me if something fails.

I would recommend you to get this laptop if you want 12th gen and a bit of gaming. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-v...lsrc=aw.ds [bestbuy.com]

These are the specs of the dell i got:
Dell Latitude 7390 2-in-1 2-In-1, 1x Intel Core i5 Quad (i5-8350U) 1.70 GHz, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB HDD, No Optical, Intel Integrated Graphics, Backlit Keyboard, Windows 10 Professional
judging by reviews, i may just stick with my dell, it cost less, and has a better build quality. plus touch and backlit keyboard.
Latitude is opposite end of build quality spectrum from a Walmart Gateway. Latitudes are bulletproof.
I agree! I learned my lesson with an HP I purchased earlier this year. Had these same issues. Ended up selling it and getting a Dell.
Half those 1star reviews complain not being real aluminum and that the screen does not look as good as their oled displays.
Tablet mode is extra baller. People just ain't ready for it.
