A: Yes! Even if you rent outside of the Bilt Rewards Alliance, you can still use Bilt to earn points on rent with the Bilt Mastercard. As long as your landlord uses an online payment portal or accepts checks, you can use Bilt with no transaction fees.

It seems, unless I'm reading incorrectly, that you have to make 5 separate transactions with the card in order to receive points for paying rent.

Doubtful, can't pay a secured loan with an unsecured loan. At least not knowingly to the financial institution.
Most mortgage companies don't allow credit card payments anyway do they? Wish mine did…

In the FAQ, it mentions any rental with an online payment portal would work without transaction fee.
