They're made out of highly durable resin. They won't crumble from sitting out in the sun for a decade and strong enough to stand on.

I bought the Ridgid 1.0 set last year for $99 and was surprised it wasn't cheap plastic junk. It's heavy as heck when empty. This dewalt set is supposed to be even tougher.

I have used this set for a year now and find it very tough. I even had a box fall out of my truck from a 6' height onto concrete and it just had scratches. The power tools inside were OK.

You can stand on them but I would recommend a ladder instead.

They do also have a lifetime warranty.

I want something like this but all the storage systems seem like overpriced cheap plastic junk. I feel like for $200-$300 we should atleast get rubber inflatable wheels, a metal frame to protect the boxes, and the ability to get to the middle or lower boxes without removing the top boxes.

Thanks. For some reason I didn't catch that. Thought the ad scans are all for 2022
I was waiting for the Milwaukee to go on sale last year and ended up getting the Ridgid 1.0 for $99 couple of months ago.

I store all my tools in bags. Is it really worth it to use one of these storage systems?

If you are a professional (or at least want to look like a professional), then you absolutely need a rolling plastic toolbox system. Others will sneer dismissively as you lug your tool bags on the job, like some rank amateur.

This one might be ok, but it's not the top choice (wrong color, not red), and it doesn't cost at least $200, which seems to be a ground floor hurdle.

Isn't this one 149 on black friday at homedepot?
Yes, last year it was $149 minus the tray.

Woah that's a good price considering the new Ridgid 2.0 set is only discounted to $170 this year.
I was just looking at the Ridgid 2.0 in HD yesterday. It was $70 for the roller, $40 for the mid and $30 for the small box. And it was right next to the DeWalt roller which was $120 all by itself.

It's a lot easier to get your tools from the truck to the job site and keep them organized. I used to do a lot of work in malls, so it would be a long hike from the parking lot to the store.

i realize this is cheaper than the current Milwaukee deal, but the Milwaukee parts have higher weight capacities, are known to be reliable based on years of an install base, and Milwaukee clearly will not abandon their system anytime soon. It seems Dewalt comes out with a new system fairly regularly. Granted this is compatible with the ToughSystem 1.0, but frequent rebranding are not comforting.

For only ~$40 more, I would pick the Milwaukee system.

So you go with the Chinese company over the American company, makes sense.
Does it honestly matter when both are made in China?

Packouts are made in Israel. Not sure about Toughsystem.

Edit: Q&A indicates that DeWalt is Israel too.
This TOUGHSYSTEM 2.0 Large Tool Box model number DWST08300 is made in Israel. Best Regards Sherri C DEWALT

Trying to decide if this is THE deal so close to BF is a gamble. I would also rather have a standalone carrier instead of one permanently attached to the bottom box. The separate DS Carrier is pricey though.

Decisions decisions.

I will say Milwaukee started at a high level. Dewalt and others are catching up -- Toughsystem 2.0 are quite study with its own value.
For example, the rolling box of Dewalt doesn't have internal space taken by the wheels as packout. Dewalt's large and small internal trays gave more option to organize than the single size packout tray.

I guess the wheels are a trade off for more space. The Milwaukee has larger wheels, which makes it more stable, and better able to handle uneven surfaces.

I have this from the 2021 price and I don't hate it. But why can't Dewalt add more options to this 2.0 tool box System ? Milwaukee seems to give you so many options with their system. Dewalt's like here's some plain boxes that you can put stuff in and some inner trays that kind of (but not really) work. That being said, I think they are worth the $150 sale from a year ago but at $178 I'd probably fork out a little more for the Milwaukee eco system on tool storage. If I were too or could do it over again. I also looked at the Ridgid line but man those the inside of their tool boxes smell so bad !!
