If you vehicle has tpms and you rotate your own tires, this will be so after you rotate you "relearn" where each tire is so it'll display its position properly on your HUD.

Any good deals on an import model? Looking for Nissan/Honda. Toyota and Kia would be great, too. I found this one [amazon.com] which seems like it would meet my needs for the Nissan/Honda/Toyota, but maybe SDers know of a cheaper one.

That won't do much on any of the brands you mention. These are just triggering tools that wake the sensor up. On a GM vehicle, the triggering will program the sensor and it's position when you put the car into programming mode. For those asian cars, you're going to need a scan tool that can actually program your TPMS like this for example

At about $4 after tax, I'm in for one. I can just throw it into the glove box of my truck.

Ah crap. I saw in the photo chart that it worked on a few Nissans, etc. I'm no mechanic, so not spending $200+ for a one time use situation. Thanks for the information!

Worked good on our '18 traverse, I keep it in the area under the rear with an uninstalled 9V in the bag it came in. Once a tire shop couldn't calibrate, this works quick and easy. I did get for like $5 on ebay so good deal but normally can be had inexpensive.

U hold down ok when looking at your tire pressure on the DIC. then go and push the button at each wheel near the valve stem drivers wheel first, then go clockwise.

I couldn't even get my 2009 Colorado to go into the learn mode using the headlamp switch. This looks useful but only if you can actually get it into that mode to begin with.
