Always remember to test the stud finder on yourself first to make sure it works.

I bought a zircon stud finder years ago and it was total crap. False readings all the time. Returned it to HD. Maybe they improved over the years but I doubt it. Then bought a Franklin finder at Costco and it works great. Just my experience.

Yeah, I used "Neodymium Disc Magnets", about $11 for 6 pack on Amazon. I don't even use a string, just move the magnet around and it will stick to the wall when it's near the nail attached to the stud.

Looks like the price is raised now! The store site was down yesterday for "maintenance" so you couldn't order at the sale price, but site is back up now and so is the price!

I emailed them to check on my order and they mentioned they had some suspicious activity so they held some orders, but after emailing they would release mine. Guessing it's more of the order volume from SD but who knows.

I emailed them last week and they released my order, sent me a UPS tracking number 3 days ago. Today mine still says "label created". This is my last time I'll be spending my $ on zircon. Wish I can cancel my order but I'm sure I won't see my refund for a long time.
