Must have been a big check this week from Bezos to get his junk promoted here ad nauseum.
These will last your lifetime and then some.
I own one that was passed down by my great-grandmother.
I would not use it for anything acidic like tomatoes ....but in general stews without tomatoes, you should be fine.
These bare ones need to be seasoned, you do not ever use soap...unless you plan to re-season it...and you have immediately dry and put a thin coat of oil on it after cleaning in water.
I found a chainmail scrubber on Amazon that works very well for getting off stuck on foods in clean water.
The difference between the enameled and the non-enameled is that you can cook anything in the enameled...and you can wash with soap and water...even a dishwasher...but it can chip...and the cheaper ones chip more easily.
Some makers have a lifetime warranty...to include the chips. Le-Creuset is an example. If one of theirs ever chips, it can be RMAed...for life.
I do not know if the Amazon one will honor that.
Something else to be aware of too....
A lot of people avoid cast iron...especially bare cast iron... when it is not made in the US or is not high-end. (Such as Lodge and Le-Creuset)
People trust that the metals used in US-made and other high-end are pure.
Whereas low-end cast iron made in China is rumored to have all kinds of impure and garbage pot metals mixed in.
It is not that the lower-end metals will not hold up. They likely will. But those pots will leach into food, anything that is cooked in them. And this can give concerns over health.

That's correct. Acids aren't great for bare cast iron seasoning. The downside of enamel is that it can chip, although that's hard to do, and it will stain or discolor over time.
Honestly I don't think it's worth it, seasoning a bare cast iron would be a huge time cost down the line due to inevitable seasoning reduction. It's a different story if you enjoying seasoning a dutch oven tho

But then I realized this is for the 7 quart (I have 2x 2 quart ones.) So yeah, for what it is, this is a pretty good deal.
Now, is this fantastic quality? Will your great-grandchildren still be using this a couple of generations down the roat? Well, probably not. But for $25, it's a more than fair price.
