Got this last year when I was on a one-month plan I'd bought to get a cheap phone, lucked out and this offer came up at the same time. Great deal at $20 if you have an active Metro phone right now.

tempting but I ended up returning the wifi version I bought from Costco. the device lags even with ram boost disabled. it's good enough for the kids to watch their PragerU especially for $20 but it's frustrating as hell to use. Samsung should be ashamed of itself for releasing their A-line deviceS

Great deal if already existing customer.

About $50 if youre new and go BYOD route = cheapest cell plan $30 + $20 for tablet line

Would recommend users go into developer options and reduce Window + Transition + Animation scales to .5x (half) for a much snappier feel when navigating or opening apps.

It might seem intimidating but I'd also recommend using ADB and getting rid of the bloatware from Metro. YT vids are really easy to follow.

I don't have too many apps on it, to preserve memory, however it's still great for my needs. I primarily stream shows/movies on it, I don't use it for browsing the web because that's where it feels the most slow.

The coolest thing I use it for is mirroring my pixel 9 pro to play games with the USB Camera Pro App ($3). I connect both together via a USBc hub and a few others chords, allowing me to play my ps2/gamecube games on the Samsung screen. (720p and 60fps seems to run the smoothest)

Dex mode is available on this, but limited compared to the higher end models. For example you can't run a secondary monitor from the Tablet . But if you tinker around the settings, and download a few apps (you can uninstall them afterwards) - you are able to use the tablet as a secondary monitor for your PC/Laptop via WiFi. Minor latency, as to be expected with wifi connection. I'm sure there are apps out there for purchase allowing you to use a wired connection instead.

TLDR; a solid choice for those who primarily stream, web browsing can feel 1-2 seconds sluggish. However with a bit of tinkering you can get much more from this tablet. Don't expect to play games on this at all though, I wouldn't.

I've got this tablet and the stuttering/lag was driving me crazy, but once I turned off the "memory boost" feature the experience has been a night and day difference.

I use it 1) as a 5g hotspot 2) as a dedicated Microsoft Teams screen for work and 3) to stream Xbox/PC games so I don't have being front of the TV to play.

My one month for the Motorola Moto G Stylus 2025 expires on October 5. If I get this deal today, can I still let my phone line expire in two days? Or in a little more than a day?
Edit: I placed the order. We will find out together.

Yes, RAM boost uses storage as RAM so far as I know, and the RAM and storage coordinating with each other probably has a latency and/or speed penalty for every operation.

I also picked up the moto stylus 2025. using it now. I'm surprised at how much I like it. it's fast enough. sideloads. kinda buggy. i installed a 1tb microsd. use it for media consumption. I've been using it alot more than my iphone 15PM 1Tb.

Why is this tablet so slow. The specs don't seem bad, but actual experience is so bad, I don't get it.

Got this last year after removing all the Samsung bloat through ADB it runs smoother restarts faster and battery lasts roughly a week sitting idle much better than stock and worth $20, I have a TextNow sim in it for free calling/texting and that works flawlessly
