60w bulbs are too dim for any practical use anymore. 75w - 100w bulbs with at least 800lm should be the bare minimum. I've been in homes that still use 60w soft white bulbs, and their homes look like dungeons IMO.

Don't know what happened to the original thread?...but it appeared to actually be for 75W bulbs vs. 60W (the OP specified 60W). The original deal is dead now regardless....but this is kinda confusing!

I'm disgusted by it. Been using this site for 15 years — and I'm at my wit's end.

Does anyone know how to get a frontpage RSS feed that REMOVES anything from Amazon Basics?

aww heck I was already mashing the "buy now" button but apparently if you eat or smoke these you get cancer... only in California though j/k. Anyways pasted below is answer from an Amazon answered question..

"California has implemented their own requirements for light bulbs that is not only limited to efficiency, but also dimming, color quality, and several others. It is not related to recycle fees or health warnings. These added requirements drive the cost up on the light bulbs. So, many manufacturers sell a "California" version, sometimes called Title 20, Title 24, or CEC compliant. The remaining 49 states get the more affordable version."

Bought these 5 years back. They lasted around a year or less. Most of them developed flickering issues. Crazy good price but I wouldn't buy them again. Who knows maybe I got a bad batch
