As I finished writing my comment, that's exactly what I did and saw it partitioned. Did a format and it's 256gb. Just in case, ran Samsung disk verification to make sure it's genuine, and all good. Shipping/sold by Amazon
Did you double check it in Disk utility to see if for some reason it was partitioned off? I got the 256 a few months back and it was fine. Not saying Sh** happens but I was just curious.
These are super fast for a flash drive. Recognized on my Note 10+ and PC instantly. Might pick one of these up as a keychain drive. Just wish they were aluminum.
Purchased on Amazon, sold by Amazon? Possibly counterfeit as they commingle inventory :/
Sketchy 3rd party seller lists same item, but sends in counterfeits and it all gets dumped in the same bin.

Got the 256gb few weeks ago for 24.99 and actually returning it because it's 32gb capacity. Check, double checked and first time this happened to me ever.
The stick is branded with 256gb.. curious if anyone had this happen to them?

Do you guys know of any micro USB Type-C flash drives? I'd like a drive that sits as flush to a phone or laptop as possible to minimize hitting it and breaking it off. My understanding is the drive needs to stick out a little due to heat/space.
edit: by micro i meant low-profile so that I can leave the USBC drive in the laptop all the time and not worry about it breaking when moving.

I'd be weary buying too. You won't know if the item you get is from Amazon or FBA. Very high probability that the item you'll get is fake.

I bought a few when they were $24 also. Haven't opened yet. Curious what device you first plugged it into that saw it as 32GB? Could it be that device auto-formatted / partitioned it somehow?
I've bought a few of these in the past, also, and never had this problem.

Might be a little cheaper come BF, but who knows. Just this past weekend it was $39.99 when I checked.
