Mine did too on my K-Slim. Now the new K-Slim's are a different model. the piercer has changed to 5 things that pierce, they added a new spiral heatting element with a temp sensor that malfunctions ( reading reviews). Coffee is a mess probably the 5 piercing things are to much pressure on cheaper aftermarket coffee pods.

this unit is a 10cup.. holding off.. I like the 12. Just don't know what to getnow that they changed the K-Slim internally.

I know, I took it apart and varified they changed the burner element. Youtube shows how to do that.

I think I'm going to buy one at Costco, no matter the cost ( hopefully on sale ) because WHEN it malfunctions, I can just return/exchange.

I will be honest, it has been an eye opener how easilly I buy the coffee cups at walmart at $22 a pop, or more. I spend a tun on kuerig coffee refills (starbucks, McCafe ). Makes you realize how much you are actually spending. Meanwhile I have been using my under $20 walmart 5 cup ground coffee maker (the one that you have to trickel the coffee out or it spills ) and been using fresh ground beans.

This is a good price Keurig, never seen the model before.. although 10 cup. Seems like a 'blackfriday price'.

Blackfriday right around the corner. K-slim go for around $49.99.
But I don't like the new design on the slim. Too many complaints.

Mine was stuck on for almost 2 years. The trick that finally fixed it was combining 2 containers of descaling solution, and filling the rest of the water reservoir with vinegar. Run descale mode with that until empty (fill with vinegar as needed until descale ends). Then wash the reservoir with soap/water, rinse with water, and fill with clean water. Run a few cups of plain water to pull anything left out of the machine and you shoulurlhasbeenblockedod. This was my "everything under the kitchen sink" method as I was ready to buy a new machine as well. Good luck.

I'll continue using my French press instead of fancy Keuring machine after hearing from users that it would break down less than a year. Also it would cost more, requires regular cleaning, water filter replacement etc.

This is the biggest piece of crap. Grounds in the bottom of the cup every time. Don't do it.

You sure it's not the pods you're using, giving you grounds? I bought one of these for work, recently, and haven't had the problem, using Folgers pods.
Currently making 10 oz cups, and noticed that this tends to "spit" quite a bit, when finishing up the brewing cycle. Thinking I'll need to buy a slightly taller cup, and run 2x 6 oz off of a pod, instead. Darn, more coffee to drink? SAVE ME!! Wink

Water filter is optional i use bottled water so i dont care about a filter, kcups are the most convenient, french presses requireregular cleaning keurig does not, that being said i like french press and kcups all about timing if im getting ready for work i use keurig… i want to add aeropress to the collection of coffee makers

did 6 reservior's of vinegar. still descale was on (about 7 with water) threw it in the trash.
And used bottle water in it since day one.

Well, pour youself a cup of TEA from tap water, then try the same with filtered water or a good bottle water. You will see the tap water TEA will turn black fast.. where as the filtered / bottle water will turn the color you see on most tea packages showing a clear cup of tea.

Same with coffee if it does that with tea it will do the same with coffee. Perfect your tast.

This looks like a walmart-only model.

Tried searching for the model and only Walmart comes up. There are other express models at target,etc. But the "essentials' I'm only seeing at WM . With the 3 side button design. Almost bit but now thinking if this is a Walmart targeted collab product its probably going to blow ..as in you get what you pay for type of situation. Would love feedback from anyone who's had this model for over 6 months
