For ram using teamgroup tcreate 3600mhz ddr4, 2 different 32gb kits. Doesn't appear to have issues with all 64gb in prime95 torture (balanced) test when run at xmp speeds.

Not sure what the reviewer is testing. I did a bit of my own with youtube and analog headphones). Sounds fine to me. If I were running this to the tv then the audio would be via hdmi, completely bypassing the onboard realtek¿?
According to tomshardware, this board has the Realtek ALC1220 codec, which is reasonably good.
Other notes;
Had to flash to latest bios to get memory working stable at 1T. With the 1720 bios windows was crashing upon boot. Still all 4 slots populated with ddr4 3600mhz 16GB modules.
For the VFIO folks, the iommu groups are great here, each slot is its own groups, same for onboard sata, ethernet, wifi, and nvme slots.
Speaking of ethernet, i225v is rev3 and actually appears to be stable. Not sure if its because of win11 (haven't tried win10), or they finally fixed it.

I don't really see the audio as that big of an issue. If one wants true digital, either use the optical out or get a hdmi/dp box that extracts the audio. It's still odd the realtek doesn't show up in device mgr or lspci.
About a year ago I used a tuf b550 plus wifi in a build, while lacking other features, it did include the alc1220 audio.
