I bought a compressor a year ago and haven't even got a hose set for it. Anything else recommended otherwise?

Depends on what you would use it for, construction, automotive, household (irrigation system)

Agreed, my hose and also the tire gauge both broke after a handful of casual uses in the garage.

Will this hose work with an impact drill or too thin?

Mostly light duty work- top off air for tires, potentially some air tools for automotive in the future. Thanks!

this would be fine for light duty work, though for air tools I would get a better hose for durability and long term use. This hose has a 200psi rating only with rubber hoses getting 300psi. The ability to use certain air tools for automotive purposes will also depend on the size of your compressor and the cfm it can maintain.

These 1/4" coil hoses are fine for little nailers, airing tires, and blowing off a workbench, but the limited airflow will severely handicap most other air tools.

This 3/8" hose [amazon.com] is way easier to use and a good start to whatever you want to do.

These cheap hoses are fragile and dangerous. Drop something on one of these and boom.

Thank you both! I think I will go with a rubber hose to begin with as I build my tools later on!
