Excellent point!!
I have the Best Buy version with 135w AC adapter and when playing Forza Horizon 5, the battery will drain at a rate where I'll get about 4 or so hours while plugged in. When not gaming, the AC adapter is enough to power the machine, no issues.
170w did improve this, but it still drains while gaming plugged in ($30 Amazon [amazon.com]). I don't know how, maybe the adapter isn't legit?? I need to investigate more or step up to a 230w AC adapter, but I haven't made that investment yet to test.
I don't really plan (or have the stamina, lol) to game more than 4 hours at a time, so wondering if I wanna spend $100 on a legit/well reviewed 230w adapter.
Notes:
A non-AC adapter note: I want to say that I absolutely adore this laptop for its keyboard. It has my favorite feel and layout with a number pad, full size arrow keys, and full size shift button. As someone who uses Word and Excel a lot, I really appreciate this keyboard. It's to the point where I won't even consider a laptop without a similar layout because of the negative typing experience I'm going to have. A++ for this laptop in this category.
It also comes with 512gb storage, up from 256gb. Strangely, the 8gb ram remains same.
The most notable addition of this laptop is its Thunderbolt 4 port. I already have a thunderbolt docking station and all the thunderbolt cables, so it makes my life much easier only needing to run 1 cable wire to the dock. Not to mention how blazing fast it is with external drives.
Another small difference. This model has the RTX 350 Ti. The $599 model has the RTX 350.
I believe everything else is the same.

The Best Buy deal was a 3050ti for &550.
But since it is ryzen, could it last long though?

$800 for a 3050 ti is very steep. Newegg has a deal on Gigabyte A5 k1 $730 with RTX 3060 130W

Scroll down to the battery life section. They're seeing around 6 and a half hours with normal web surfing, which is pretty darn good for a gaming laptop. That said, they also report seeing a bug with the "Lenovo Quiet mode", some kind of extra power saving mode, with excessive power usage. So I guess, just not use that special mode until it gets fixed or something.
