Light roast vs a medium. I would say that is usually different enough.

My local Costco was selling coffee from this roaster. Honestly some of the worst coffee I've ever had. We couldn't finish it.

Same here. Bought a bag at Sprouts earlier this year and it tasted stale. Tossed it out.

50 cents off, what an amazing deal! This should definitely be posted on the front page. We're going to save so much $$!

SD is a shadow of its former shelf. Low % and absolute $ discounts shouldn't even be posted unless it is in a category rarely if ever discounted and automatically removed using AI.

Pre-ground coffee is almost always terrible, folks.

On the other hand, it's really easy to ignore mediocre deals like this. I'm the OP and I don't believe this should be +14. I don't know why it is (slow deal day?) but obviously the consensus thinks there's value in either not having to go to B&M to get it for the same price, or maybe they specifically like breakfast blend for some application like cold brew.

One issue SD has right now, and this is kind of a tangent, is rewarding members redeemable points for posting ANY deal. It's one thing to provide an outsize reward for popular and front page deals (which they do) but posting a deal shouldn't be rewarded in and of itself. That would cut down on some of the posting.

On the other hand, it takes a matter of seconds for experienced users like yourself to know when a deal is hot and when it's warm.

I was also on SD in the early days and while things were different then, you and I both know what has really changed the most is not the number of mediocre deals and selfish people, but the number of clearly paid-for posts that get catapulted to popular or FP without merit. That's where SD is struggling but they also have to pay the bills.

Bought both when it was not a mainstream e.i. on Slickdeals 😅 - breakfast blend is bit more bitter than water & woods which in turn is perfect if you like mild coffee.

What reward for posting deals do you speak of? I used to post deals and wouldn't get shit from it. Not even reps (fake internet points) when things would reach FP. I gave up

Cameron's Jamaican Blend [cameronscoffee.com] is far better than any Starbucks or Dunkin I've tried.
Their Cold Brew Blend [cameronscoffee.com] is really good too.
