Mint Mobile: 128GB Google Pixel 7 Pro Unlocked Smartphone + 12-Month 4GB Plan

I ordered monday night too and was able to pull up order status on tuesday but not anymore. I chatted CS and they said it's processing and can take 3 business days to ship.

How long did others take to ship?

I ordered very early Monday morning and it was shipped same day afternoon. I got it by Wednesday. I live in Bay Area though and the package is from Costa Mesa, CA.

I'm curious to hear if you returned it and how it went. I've read that Mint is a real pain about taking back returns. You'll also have to pay return shipping costs if you get them to accept a return too.

Can this phone be used in India?
I have to take 1 pixel 7 pro for my friend and so far this seems to be the cheapest deal.

oh, I suspect we wont get that far with the 7pro for a number of reasons, going through it with mint not least among them.

Oh.. so you guys didn't end up getting one?... Or just not planning to return it?

Some personal experience with Mint Mobile service. Two of my family members used Mint before for ~1 year until we all converged to Google Fi's $20 unlimited (4+ people). Both Fi and Mint uses T-Mobile network, but obviously Google has more buying power for the bandwidth. In one popular shopping plaza, Fi will become sluggish, but Mint will halt with data. Mint's customer service is also slower and sketchy compared to Fi's.

I am sure your experience will differ depending on where you live and where you hang out. I saw some people expressing no problem with Mint and others simply saying Mint is trash in this forum, and totally believe them.

This time I bought this package because I like Pixel 7 Pro's camera. Color and storage do not matter to me. I can also use the 12-month service for a member that only uses the phone for emergency contact. Fi's unlimited plan was just not cost effective. I would save $150 over 1 year.

I could see people feel skeptical of this too-good-to-be-true deal. I was too. Do they sell sub-quality or open box phones as new? Are the phones locked to Mint? Does it offer the same warranty as what you would get from other vendors?

I can only say what I experienced. The phone came in original sealed box. I don't see any defect. I found some annoying but tolerable SW bugs, but would not blame Mint for them. The phone is indeed unlocked. The manufacture's warranty should not change depending on where you buy it.

Based on the amount of Mint commercials, I think they are desperate to retain customers. This deal is probably the effort to lock some customers for one year. I saw similar effort from Fi 2 years ago, too. They offered very generous buy-back of old phones (Samsung S7 for $275) and free Moto phones as account credit and can only be used by the member who get the credit in the first place. That did lock me in for quite some time to use up the credit.

My brother on Mint Unlimited plan likes to FaceTime us and his audio/video goes out constantly. It's fine if you use it for calling and texting people, but I wouldn't count on Mint for any data-intensive stuff. I bought in on this deal and currently testing out Mint 5GB Plan, so far I'm not impressed. My Youtube videos are constantly buffering.
