Two previous threads have a lot of good info. Search Mint for the posts.
Summary:
The phone is UNLOCKED (I bought it and activated with my existing plan).
The plan is NOT tied to the phone or your name. You can use it for other family member (I did) or sell it.
You must activate the plan in 45 days after purchase.
If don't port in a number, you only get 6 months service.
One person reported switching to Fi from Mint and immediately port it back and getting 12 months.
Some people say you can port in Google Voice number by paying $3 to Google.
You CANNOT cancel the plan only and keep the phone (some tried but was told to cancel the whole purchase or none).
Some people have AMEX offer of $45 off $90 (I used it and got confirmation email from Amex immediately).
You may find referral code to get $15 (I did not use it).
You can use Cash Back site to get some extra dollars back. Ex. urlhasbeenblocked $5 back (It worked for me).
To find the deal manually, go to https://www.mintmobile.com/, click top menu Phone - Deals.
It's unlocked, many (including myself) have bought this deal and confirmed
Every time this gets posted that it's restocked I get tempted but I really don't want the Pro version. I would much prefer the size of the regular Pixel 7, I've been hoping they would offer a similar deal for the Pixel 7 but it does not appear that will be happening.

thank you for the response. Happy to know you are enjoying the phone. Understand no choices on color and storage. If i don't port in any number it is still cheaper than an unlocked on google store. Can i use it without the port in ? if yes i will pull the trigger. thank you again for helping.
Yes I activated the phone on my existing Fi account and used the service on another phone in my family. You may sell the service to others on eBay or just ask here. I know some people are interested if you give a good price.
Not sure how a reasonable person would believe that those Pixel 2 XL's were new (as opposed to refurbished); it was a July 2021 promotion for a device that was released in October 2017 and discontinued in April 2019.
What I'm more concerned about is warranty coverage, even for a new device. Mint is a third-party retailer, so they're responsible should anything go wrong, not the manufacturer (Google). The company's language suggests that one might not be able to get a refund if the phone has a problem while under warranty; instead it will be "exchanged with an equivalent product if [Mint is] unable to supply the same item."
That could be a problem; if one gets this phone because it's the latest and greatest Pixel, my guess is that they'd be dissatisfied with any exchange that is not another flagship model Pixel.

The 1 year warranty is from the manufacturer. It is universal no matter where you buy it.

Yeah I also have the share the love kit, but I already chatted with them and they told me that the sim I was sent was in fact a 12mo 4gb it was just in a 3mo 4gb packaging. Sounded a bit sus to me so I fished the sim out of the package and checked on the activation screen, without continuing the activation, and when I put in the acct code it did come up saying 12mo 4gb plan... so I guess whatever
Gonna make it a bit difficult to resell it though, unless I sell it to someone that knows and trusts me or find someone who's willing to activate it at the time of purchase with both of us there so we both know everything is on the up and up

Some personal experience with Mint Mobile service. Two of my family members used Mint before for ~1 year until we all converged to Google Fi's $20 unlimited (4+ people). Both Fi and Mint uses T-Mobile network, but obviously Google has more buying power for the bandwidth. In one popular shopping plaza, Fi will become sluggish, but Mint will halt with data. Mint's customer service is also slower and sketchy compared to Fi's.
I am sure your experience will differ depending on where you live and where you hang out. I saw some people expressing no problem with Mint and others simply saying Mint is trash in this forum, and totally believe them.
This time I bought this package because I like Pixel 7 Pro's camera. Color and storage do not matter to me. I can also use the 12-month service for a member that only uses the phone for emergency contact. Fi's unlimited plan was just not cost effective. I would save $150 over 1 year.
I could see people feel skeptical of this too-good-to-be-true deal. I was too. Do they sell sub-quality or open box phones as new? Are the phones locked to Mint? Does it offer the same warranty as what you would get from other vendors?
I can only say what I experienced. The phone came in original sealed box. I don't see any defect. I found some annoying but tolerable SW bugs, but would not blame Mint for them. The phone is indeed unlocked. The manufacture's warranty should not change depending on where you buy it.
Based on the amount of Mint commercials, I think they are desperate to retain customers. This deal is probably the effort to lock some customers for one year. I saw similar effort from Fi 2 years ago, too. They offered very generous buy-back of old phones (Samsung S7 for $275) and free Moto phones as account credit and can only be used by the member who get the credit in the first place. That did lock me in for quite some time to use up the credit.
Google's warranty page below seems to suggest that the protections/remedies available when purchasing from an "approved third-party retailer" are less than what's covered when purchasing via the Google Store.

Lost me at NO MICROSD slot and NO headphone jack…… I believe you can hook these up to SSD drives easier these days….. and not having micro SD and a headphone jack seems to be the way things are going….
Did you come from 2002? I don't think any decent phone offers those features.
