Oh man. Samsung and Best Buy caught up on the trade ins. They lowered the S21s to only $600 in trade-in value.

This is all incorrect. The enhanced trade in values are ONLY for unlocked phones (not carrier-based phones), and you do NOT need to be on Magenta plans for this to work.

I have done 7 trade-ins so far on this deal with 3 more phones waiting. I am on an old grandfathered Simple Choice plan.

I would love to have a Best Buy like yours! I was simply commenting my experience with this deal. The employee told me that if I wasn't on T-Mobile Magenta, my Trade-in value for my S21 (128gb) would be $130 (the online Trade-In price).

So having $40 left on my tmobile s21 makes me not eligible for this even if I were to pay that off?

Did u even need to give them any tmobile info? Ie was it a simple trade in a unlocked phone and then buy an unlocked phone?

This is all wrong, it's an activate later price on the S22+, you don't need to have any carrier, just did this deal. They don't even ask about your account.

Deal is only to purchase unlocked phones and you can trade in locked or unlocked phones

I've traded in, T-Mobile s21+, 2 Xfinity S21s, 2 At&t S21+, 1 Fold3 (for an S22 Ultra) and 1 T-Mobile S21. Still have 3 more S21s to trade. I've done activate now with my T-Mobile simple choice plan, I've done activate later where they ask for zero account info. if your store says otherwise they just don't know what they are talking about. I've done this in multiple Best Buys.

Can you explain how did you do the trade-ins? All in store? That is purchasing of a new phone along with trading in the older phone? What about the data from the old phone?
