I've traded in, T-Mobile s21+, 2 Xfinity S21s, 2 At&t S21+, 1 Fold3 (for an S22 Ultra) and 1 T-Mobile S21. Still have 3 more S21s to trade. I've done activate now with my T-Mobile simple choice plan, I've done activate later where they ask for zero account info. if your store says otherwise they just don't know what they are talking about. I've done this in multiple Best Buys.
I had same situation when I got Pixel 7 deal at my local store in my small town. BB employees were nice and helpful but didn't know about extra trade-in value promo. First employee told me I would only get $120 but I showed him the promo and he had to call in supervisor and even he had to research the promo. But within mins they were able to work it out and shared the promo with other team. I thought that was very good of him to make sure the team has correct info.

That sales guy and his supervisor both are very unhelpful. They are showing the promotion where it said 800$ trade in value but day their system is showing zero value. What do you tell them to do to fix this issue.
May be this could be because they don't have any in stock?? Is my only other option to find a store that has s22+ in stock?

I got an S22u before. But not liking the curved display. so will try getting this.
Also did you open new acct with verizon or upgrade?. I dont have verizon. Not sure if it is worth opening a new account for this promo.

Also lets say I get a renewed Samsung S21 5G off Amazon ($289+tax) that comes in on Monday. Trade that in-store for the S22+. I may get the 256GB for $799. Basically a wash. Just tax on both items if I'm not mistaken?
Will basically come out to about $350ish after taxes for a S22+ 256GB model.
My biggest worry is they won't have it in stock at my local BestBuy and/or they won't be able to replicate this deal for whatever reason.

You essentially trade in your s21 for a brand new unlocked s22 series phone.
Online store pick up - when I asked them, the guy was not sure how it would work because it was an in store buy promotion, he said you may be able to trade in now and wait for the order to ship to store and then pick up the new one but was not sure, i just went with the color that was available in store
On the setting up of new phone, i had to basically surrender they old phone, get the new one, do basic setup in store for the phone to work, came back home and completed the setup
