Just bought an S21 from Amazon for $300, got $800 trade-in on this phone and walked out with a gift card for around $50 and a brand new S22+.

Oh man. Samsung and Best Buy caught up on the trade ins. They lowered the S21s to only $600 in trade-in value.

Maybe since the trade in value is greater than the cost of the phone it's tax on $0. When I traded in to get the Pixel 7 they deducted the trade value, then charged tax.

This deal has been being abused already by other groups it seems, so hopefully it works until it's deadline and Best Buy doesn't stop it prematurely

So it says it's only 750 if you activate it today, I have cricket wireless. Does the activation just involve inserting my sim card or do I need a plan with TMobile/Verizon?

I was in the same situation when the color my wife wanted was not available in store, decided to get the one available in store and just buy a fancy cover.
But you are right, if the store does not have it, they asked me to do the trade in and come back when the phone arrives in store which made no sense with my S21 being my primary phone.

Technically you don't have to activate at all. You can simply get an unlocked S22 plus + 50$ GC with the trade in of an s21 and walk out.

There was a 100$ trade in discount on top of this earlier ( I'm guessing it's still there) when you add a new line on TMO but then you need to cancel that line immediately and I was not sure if they will charge me for the liner etc, so I just decided to keep it simple and just get phone

I just traded in my 2 s21 phones for 2 s22+ phone and $70 in gift credit. Like they actually paid me to upgrade my phones. Best deal I've got in a while. Thanks OP!

There's no 256gb in stock any where near me.

To get the enhanced trade in, I order for store pickup, then tell them I want to trade in? Then, they'll do an order cancel and repurchase? Seems like I will be met with confused BB employees when I ask this.

Anyone that has done this, care to elaborate?

You can trade-in a phone for them to order the 256gb S22+, you will just be without the phone since they need to take the trade-in right away.

Of course. They let me sit on the backside of the cell phone counter (where they had tons of chargers and cables) and run Smart Switch to transfer my data.
