1) Turn in my trade in phone right now and trade in credit would be applied but I would be without a mobile until I get the new one.
2) Pay the full price now and return with the new phone when it's delivered to my house .I can trade in my current phone and the refund would go back on to my credit card.
Opted for the second option.
New phones can be delivered to your home or you can choose store pickup, however, there is no option to trade in devices on pickup of a new device or after delivery.
if you still want to trade in the device on pickup, i can think of only one option, i.e. place the order online for store pickup, and when it's ready for store pickup, cancel the order, that way, the devices are in stock in the store and then you go to store to buy the devices by trade-in and get all the discounts. Go with this option only if the device is getting delivered before Sunday, as every Monday price changes.
