Just bought an S21 from Amazon for $300, got $800 trade-in on this phone and walked out with a gift card for around $50 and a brand new S22+.

Oh man. Samsung and Best Buy caught up on the trade ins. They lowered the S21s to only $600 in trade-in value.

The rep / manager didn't know how to properly do the trade-in. The trade-in requires a different process / system than the usual and the full trade-in value may not show until the very end of the process after they input / scan the samsung coupon. Also the phone you purchase must be unlocked in order to qualify for this samsung promo.

Try a different store.

I have tried couple of times unsuccessfully at my local store. Yesterday I placed an online order for store pick up. When I went to pick up I had a different store manager than who I had before. He knows how to do it right so it'll give 800 for my s21.

Here's where it got so much better. They have additional 250$ off for t- mobile activation of the device. It's not a new line. They're fully aware that I'm not adding a new line or porting from another network. But they have another 250 off.

So
s22+ =750.00
T-mobile activation = -250.00
Coupon towards s22+ purchase when you trade in=-600.00 (up to 600, no face value returned)
BB gift card= -200.00

My local store broke the 800 into
BB coupon of 600
And
BB gift card of 200

So I got the s22+ free and walked out with 200$ gift card.

I did not expect that at all.

Now I don't want to see a nasty surprise in my t mobile bill next month for 250$

Anyone had this similar situation?

If I am reading this correctly, the giftcard you walk out of should be $0, cuz the manager used it the moment you buy the phone. You aren't expecting a double dip.

I dint know how you got $250 extra. It's was supposed to be only $250 total weather you buy unactivated or with activation credit.

How are you placing an online order for Instore pick up.. is it just so the phone is booked in your name and once you are at the store you cancel that order and rebuy it through the Instore process?

Awesome re: the additional $250 off for activation. My store refused and said no such thing exists. Another store also said the same
