For people that have done this, is the Samsung trade in special advertised anywhere in the store? If not, can you simply bring up the site to get the associate to understand the offer?

First someone else reported this happening on NYC, and now in Chicago. Seems like the stores in bigger cities are aware and possibly trying to lie to customers so the employees themselves can take advantage of the offer.

Dang, not looking good with those comments for me, my trade-in (S21) comes in next week. Managed to get an open box for only $270, so it should be in like-new condition. Fortunately, seller has no hassle returns for 30 days.

Just did the deal today, traded in a T-Mobile S21 I got on eBay for $270 for a $256 GB s22 plus and walked out with a $200 gift card. I activated it on my T-Mobile line.

with the discount the phone came out to $550, the coupon that printed out was for $600 so it canceled itself out so they didn't even touch the $200 gift card. if I got a $128 GB model I would have gotten the same $200 gift card because you don't get money from the coupon that falls through if it's unused.

I wonder if you were to get a case it would also take it off from the $600 credit. To maximize the use of the whole $600.

Downtown Manhattan for me. Thank goodness for slickdeals, if i didn't know better, i wouldn't have known to try more stores. It is just annoying that this promotion has been going on for a while and they still didn't know what to do. You have to get lucky and hope you get a person who knows their stuff in the right store
