Yesterday night, I was able to trade in my S20+ 5G for S22+ 5G 256 GB
Even though the trade in was only $600, the rep told me that I can get another $250 discount if they run it through my Tmobile account. They called it phone upgrade.
I was suprised that it works.
Since they order the new phone through Tmobile, the phone cannot be shipped to my home instead I have to pick it up next week at BB.
In the end, I came home with $34.64 Best Buy Gift Card.
What a nice surprise, basically I got paid $34.64 to exchange my old S20+ 5G 128 GB with a brand new S22+ 5G 256 GB.

Also, I saw on the display phone, it says the $250 promo is from 11/7/22 through 11/13/22.
Hopefully some people will still be able to get the deal.

what does it mean to activate on Tmobile? I have a tmobile account, does this mean in order to get the extra $250 gc for activation, i would have to add a new line?

Please anyone explain may I with my TMobile prepaid upgrade the line? Google says yes. But a slickdealer on some page told me no. Went into my TMobile account page. See Upgrade option with every of my prepaid line. Never been on anything else prepaid. Don't know how it works.

Trade-in offers usually don't apply to prepaid accounts. You can still do activate later and put your prepaid sim in the phone afterwards.

Don't they apply the $600 first towards the $750 and then a $150 from the $200 GC, leaving $50 + $250 TMo = $300 GC? Leaving the taxes aside.
