That's strange they give such a big GC while for S21 it was $600 coupon and $200 GC.
Since 256g is $799, it's a no brainer to get it instead of 128g. My local store didn't have one in stock. I read the comment that they ordered it for shipping to home so went to the store.
The rep was very informed about this trade in. Already had many folks did it. But unfortunately he said he can't order it and ship it to me. He insisted that this can be only done for ones in stock.
Didn't push back hard and decided to get 128g instead. He got the phone from the back and after that it was 5 minutes process. Left the store with the phone and GC.
I also got refurbished S21 5G from Amazon seller instead of eBay. I just needed some kind of insurance if this deal ends early. I only looked for the seller who offered the free return.
the language isnt straight forward. deal ends Nov 14 could also include the 14th...:shrug:

Look like we are in the same boat, I ordered the Amazon one with Free return, lol, and arrived today! Cheers Amazon and Bestbuy teamwork!
G. Carrier Activation in store for Tmobile Promo.
Still valid as I can imagine, Many people state that some Reps refuse to double dip for you. So the trick is not saying anything about the Tmobile upgrade promo. Just did the Trade, get the coupon printer, ask for buying the phone (in stock only). The process will be just like buying anything in store, the Carrier upgrade promo will show up automatically (surprise surprise!). After that, you just pay (Credit card, BB GC, and also applied the $600 coupon, coupon is just like CASH!) So of course no issue, the system will treat it as CASHish.

I want to Share My Experience with this killer deal of the year. Location: North CA. I received my Amazon S21 5G today (3 days since I ordered), and I did the process of buying the S22+ online, using the pick-up in-store option, no trade-in was selected, and the phone was ready last Friday before my S21 arrived.
I went to my local Bestbuy (the store I selected for pick-up). Straight to the Mobile counter, not the pick-up section. Unfortunately, the Mobile section has only one person, usually two (but the other one seems to take a break, I went around 4 pm). I have one customer before me, so I have to wait about 15 mins (the customer before me was handling some Verizon activation issue, not for the deal tho, as I sort of heard it). But Anyway, as soon as my term, I showed the promo page about the trade-in to the reps, however, the local Bestbuy also has a huge ad poster in front of the mobile section too. So they are well-trained. The Reps is a young man in his 20s, happily tells me, SURE, trade-in Samsung promo is NO PROBLEM. So he started the process, at the first time, he tried to activate the new S22+ before Trade-in, then the system does not allow him to input the PROMO Code, so just $130. He think a little, and quickly realized that we should do the PROMO trade-in first and print out the coupon.
After dealing with some technical issues on the register (one of the fingerprint scanners not working, and the second machine has a bad payment machine). We finally did everything and had a smooth process in a third register (Shocking that my local store has three)
1. Promo Trade-in
The Process is really easy and straightforward as usual, the Reps know how to do it. First, he asked for my Bestbuy ACCT, if you do not have it, skip it. He then will need the S21 for verified in good condition, and input the IMEI, next you need to present the US ID (no Canada one allowed) sign and confirm the address, and scan the fingerprinter. The coupon will then be printed as 600 dollars coupon, plus 200GC Immediately to you.
2. Purchase and Activation
This process is also easy as we buy any other item in the shop. He finds the S22+ in stock, this time, I am trying to activate it through Tmobile. So he ask for my Tmobile acct number, did some TEXT verification, and input the last four digits of SSN. Bring up the acct, then you tell him the line for upgrade, he then selected the number, scan the phone, the final bill is CRAZY good. Original 999. -250 Bestbuy BF discount. -250 Tmobile Actvation Promo. Final is $499. He then scan the coupon just printed. The Final went straight to $0.
3.Result
I walk out the Bestbuy with the new S22+, $200GC, thanks OP.
Below are some major question in this Thread, I think I have sort it out (I chat with the Reps for like 15min later, since after finishing everything is almost 5:30pm)
A. When is the Trade in promo ends?
The Reps say will last to Dec, but will end early if Company meet the QUOTA.
B. When is the $749 Deal Price of S22+ ends?
Nov 13 Sunday Midnight. So Monday will be no no. This will affect lots of people I guess for cancel and rebuy option (see later answer, I will answer how this is works)
C. If not in stock, is that possible to order in-store to ship to the house and trade in?
YES!! I went to the first Bestbuy, they do not have any of them in stock, but the mobile Reps offer me to do the trade in and order in store, and ship to house. SO absolutely yes, easy process as well. However, the problem is you need to trade in the S21 or other phone onsite, and wait for new phone to ship. So if you do not have other phone, you will have no phones. Data will not be able retrieved if you did not back up.
D. if not in stock, can I do the Tmobile (or other carrier) activation upgrade option?
NO!! If the device is not in stock, you do not have the option to activate today (so will not get the Tmobile 250 upgrade promo). The ship to house option can only be done for trade-in and activated later. The Result of this will be not able to double dip for additional 250. So the net result will be a new phone plus ~$30 GC.
E. What about the order online - pickup in store, Cancel and Rebuy options.
YES, and this is system allowed, no issue (Reps told me that he did this before). However, this is Still YMMV. ALSO, the rebuy will be ring-up as that day's Price, so doing it on Nov 14 and after will not be able to honor the $749 price tag, unless you find a $749 Amazon price to PRICE MATCH. **Please do not harass the Reps asking him to honor the deal price, this is going against the Bestbuy policy. *** so please no. the first Store I went to, the Rep say this cancel and rebuy is too much work, bla bla, and refuse to do it for me. Second store (the store I did the complete process), the Rep told me SURE, why not. I did not go this route because they have it in stock for the last one. BUT BUT. Potentially I see the system is allowed, on my way home, I cancelled the Online order (Ship to the first Store), full refund no issue (they say will take off the Pending charge). Then after 5 mins, the first store originally showing no stock, refresh to showing "Act Fast, the store has 1 left!". So I will said, if you waited in the shop, and ask the Rep to refresh the screen, and told them the S22+ is in the "Pick-up Section". He will then able to retrieve that (the phone will be release as in stock after you cancel it), then the rest of the process will be the same as buying it in store.
F. Whether the $600 Coupon applied for adding accessory.
So the 128G phone is $499 after additional Tmobile upgrade promo. So the $600 dollar will cover that, but potentially there is $100 left you can do in the store. Many people ask for whether will applied if adding some accessory. The answer is I DONT KNOW, I was too happy already and say Thank you and leave. Upon getting back to car and realized it could be able to get ~$80+tax accessory in the store. YOU CAN TRY, but I am happy happy so not a big deal.
G. Carrier Activation in store for Tmobile Promo.

If you activate in store, Rep will bring out a new Sim, and scan it, then activated, so you old sim will be deactivated right away. So please be careful of activating some other line in your acct, you family who you use to upgrade will get disconnected until you give them the new sim)
