With the Tmobile activation, can you open a new account while doing the trade in promotion and get the additional $250 discount? If so, what is the least expensive plan, and if you cancel within a couple of days are there any plan charges?

I traded in s21 and got the s22 plus. The employee refused to try and check the t mobile activation at all saying it won't give any discount. I ended up coming home with just 30$ back in gc.

Any way to to all get the t-mobile discount? I have the phone unopened. I'm not a t-mobile customer.
I am ok to open an account and close this after few days just to get the discount. Any input is greatly appreciated
I see two options maybe:

1. If the store you went to still have your trade-in phone, reverse everything including the trade-in, and take your old phone and try your luck somewhere else or with another agent.

2. See if they can do an equal exchange of the phone but with TMo activation applied, possibly at a different store, but it's doubtful the coupon value would stick.

Neither option has good chance to work to be honest. The best course of action for this offer if you have time on your hands and want to absolutely get all the discounts available is to know what's available for a given week through others who have helpful BB agents, then sticking your ground and not commit to the purchase until you get the same total, retrying at another store if necessary.

Is there any succes in NYC stores for this trade in. ? Refused at 4 stores in pretext of "system down" or "No more S21 trade-ins". Some info appreciated.
Thanks

Can someone please point me to where the T-Mobile $250 deal is stated online? I'm going to Best Buy today when they open to trade in my T-Mobile Galaxy S21 and I want to ensure I have all the details available in case the staff gives me any trouble.

Hello, I own a S20FE currently that I purchased a couple years ago with TMobile. They had a promo of phone for $0 plus tax with 2 year commitment. This has ended now and I was wonder if I should just go trade this phone in for the S22+ as I heard the deal ends today? Otherwise I would have made sold this phone and purchased a S21 renewed over amazon to trade in for S22+. My question is should I go ahead and trade in S20 FE and get the S22+ and end up paying $150 plus taxes or will they be simliar offers during Black Friday?

I've got this phone yesterday. No T-mobile discount because the phone is unlocked and you have to pay a full price with BB discounts.
I have a question for someone on T-Mobile network. Do you guys have 5G speed with this phone? Mine doesn't. We spent about an hour with T-Mobile CS and they can't figure out what's wrong.
5G UC icon shows up but the network speed is very low, like 4G slow.. Thanks.

Lots of talk about iPhones vs androids here. As far as value goes isn't it amazing that an iPhone 6s from 2015 will still get you a $200 TIV?

Really?

I read most of this thread.
YOUR dumb iphone comment is the only one I remember seeing here.LMAO

I have 5G, 5GUC showing up and with 5GUC, the speed is going up to 400mbps with s22+. In the same spots with s21+ before, it was slow. I could see a huge difference between 2 phones.
If your 5G is unusable or slow, just go to setting and switch to LTE only

I agree with you about iphones, not a huge fan.

As far as battery life, It would honestly depend on usage. Which apps you're using as well as for how long. Basically whenever the screen is on, you're using a certain amount of battery. Apps add battery usage via processor utilization, but this varies wildly by app. Based on what you mentioned, calls and navigation will use the most battery. Another tip would be to turn off 5G and only use 4G because this will use much less battery.

Since your usage will remain constant, what matters when looking for a phone is the physical size of the phones battery and background app usage (Android OS and system apps)

If you were to get the S22+, it would easily last you all day as long as you're not doing heavy navigation or calls (or having the screen on for long periods). However, like I said, this would likely be true for most higher end phones. There are phones that advertise high battery life, but they will come with tradeoffs like slower processor and in general be not as "premium". Couldn't tell you what the best current option for those would be though.
Thank you so much for the detailed explaination !

Thanks. So it's maybe a network issue not the phone. TM told me to go back to store and replace the phone. Did you upgrade OS? They think maybe this why too.
