I just got this phone (unlocked) 3 days ago, it git updated with all current software needed.
If Tmo would give you a brand new phone, why not! But they might just give you a refurbished one and keep your new one, you'll need to be careful with that.
Also, why don't you go to TMo store and play with those display s22+ and see in that same spot of the display phone and your phone are performing the same under same network settings before you do anything
One has 11 bill credits left. Will I have to pay that off (remaining balance?) Might just set up a new T-Mobile acct for that one or skip the upgrade incentives. TIA for any info or advice. Y'all rock
Thanks

Maybe this sale will continue or we will see something on the S22U...
Thanks

Last night, I jumped on Facebook Marketplace, messaged a few phone stores selling used S21's for $369 and got one to sell it to me for $325. Took it over to Best Buy and got an S22+ 128MB (no 256MB available period) for delivery and $37 left on gift card.
And it looks like they are using a service called Roadie to deliver it to me today!

I read most of this thread.
YOUR dumb iphone comment is the only one I remember seeing here.
"If battery life is your number one concern, these probably arent the phones for you. The S22's are Samsung's flagship phones, so they're more focused on top-of-the-line features at the expense of cost, battery life, etc. While battery life on these phones is by no means bad, it is not really the focus of these.
If I were you, I'd look at other options. Last I heard, the iphone 14 Pro had the best battery life of any phone out atm. Now, if you want a top of the line phone with only decent battery life for cheap, this is the deal for you. Of the S22 line, the S22+ has best battery life.'
"Thank you. Your comment really helped. I will look at iphone 14 Pro. Not a huge fan of iphones. Have had Android all my life.
How much battery life can I expect on the S22+ if all I do is Calls, Texting, Whatsapp, Facebook, Work related app uses, Navigation/Maps, light browsing?"
"I agree with you about iphones, not a huge fan.
As far as battery life, It would honestly depend on usage. Which apps you're using as well as for how long. Basically whenever the screen is on, you're using a certain amount of battery. Apps add battery usage via processor utilization, but this varies wildly by app. Based on what you mentioned, calls and navigation will use the most battery. Another tip would be to turn off 5G and only use 4G because this will use much less battery.
Since your usage will remain constant, what matters when looking for a phone is the physical size of the phones battery and background app usage (Android OS and system apps)
If you were to get the S22+, it would easily last you all day as long as you're not doing heavy navigation or calls (or having the screen on for long periods). However, like I said, this would likely be true for most higher end phones. There are phones that advertise high battery life, but they will come with tradeoffs like slower processor and in general be not as "premium". Couldn't tell you what the best current option for those would be though."
"Did I miss an extra $200 off gift card deal? I traded in a iphone 6s plus and received a $200 ( per trade in value ) Paid over $600 with taxes"
My local BestBuy wouldn't sell me a S22+ along with T-Mobile activation and will only sell it unlocked, which means I'll have to pay around $185.00 for it with trade in. This is still cheap, but I don't want the phone that much to pay for more without T-Mobile activation.
Please PM if interested as I plan to return it to Amazon tomorrow.
