Fenix 6 version do NOT have touch screen; only stating b/c I saw the post & was thinking about getting it. I currently have the Vivoactive 3 and I do like the touchscreen. Just wanted to get this out there, it might help someone. But yeah, great prices with the extended 2yr.
Just a FYI, I did some research
The Fenix 7 is seemingly a much bigger upgrade from the 6 than previous versions
Folks are saying the upgrade is almost a two iteration jump if not more
Probably going to pass on this for BF deals on the 7 this year or even next
I used Garmin warranty for a 5 plus. The elevation messed up and showed a 500-700 ft climb for my usual flat 3.5 mi run. I created a case, shipped it back, and they shipped me a refurb. I got the original watch as a refurb from some random site on SD, factory outlet store

It would be my first Garmin watch. I would like music and Garmin Pay. Maps and touchscreen would be nice too.
For jogging, hiking and weight lifting. I don't do these often.
Still doing research. Appreciate any feedback!
Thanks!
I'd suggest the 955. Comes with all the features of the Fenix minus the sapphire screen. I have the 955 solar from the last deal and couldn't be happier.
Note: check your insurance provider for discounted Garmin store. Blue Cross offers all watches new for 20% off msrp.

Thanks! Good to know it's not touchscreen. I too, have a Vivoactive 3 and waiting for the next gen. Venu is AMOLED, so can't do always on for a week, Fenix is not touch screen. No good replacement yet, I guess.

I don't anticipate having to use the warranty, but it's a nice add on. Anyone have any experience with the warranty provider?

If you bought the 6 Sapphire from Amazon for $350 you can return it thru 1/31/23 if you feel a need for one of these other options.
