Tune in to your body, and tone up with the vívoactive® 4 GPS smartwatch. It has the broadest available range of all-day health monitoring features, music storage and on-screen, animated workouts.
Screen sizes for those wondering, compared to Vivoactive 3:
Vivoactive 3 - 43mm (1.2")
Vivoactive 4 - 45mm (1.3")
Vivoactive 4s - 40mm (1.1")
I've been waiting patiently to upgrade from my Vivoactive 3 and have read countless threads lol. All 3 watches have touchscreens. I was thinking about the Fenix6.. but they're not touchscreen. Someone else mentioned the Forerunner 935 and it's not touchscreen.
So many to choose from (which is great). I'm looking at the Vivoactive 4, Forerunner 955 or Venu 2 plus. I mainly MTN bike and I really enjoy the watch notifications from my phone, so I want touchscreen.
ps - any other Garmin watches that BuyDig will have? I saw the Fenix thread but no others except instinct.
Still, feels expensive for a 3 year old model.
Do yourself a favor and don't buy the galaxy watch 4. The battery sucks on it.

I have the Vivoactive 3 music and a Fenix 5x. I wear the vivo now only to swim because it's a lot lighter. I really started to dislike the touchscreen for running. Especially recording laps on the track but even simple controls. Just more reliable with buttons
Yeah I appreciate the suggestions about galaxy watches but I'm definitely getting another Garmin. I have the speed / cadence sensors (don't need them but got both for $10) and they'll go good with a garmin and plus, I do like my V3 just want newer. I've researched the heck out of them & will end up with Venu 2 or Plus.
I've had the V3, V4, and now Venu 2. Outside of the quick screen timeout of OLED, which is necessary, you'll love the Venu 2.
Vivoaeries 4s (this deal) doesn't have sleep tracking. Venu 2 does, as well as a higher resolution screen. For days of battery life I want sleep tracking, looking for a deal on venu 2
I owned both the VA3 & 4. They both have sleep tracking. The Venu 2 just does a better job with it.

This is fine if you mainly MTN bike imo. It also pairs w/ my indoor bike which I love. Forerunners are more runnercentric w/ a few more additional runner stats relating to effort and recovery from runs iirc. Stuff you can generally ascertain yourself from your data and commonsense, but it's nice to have too if your an avid runner. I got the Vivoactive 4 and 4s for my wife w/ the target sale a few weeks ago.
The only knock w/ my Vivoactive 4 is that it can't measure open water swims (but it can't measure lap swims).
I have the Vivoactive 4 and one thing I love about it is that I can drag and drop music or audiobooks into it, and listen with bluetooth earbuds without having to have my phone with me.

I've had the Vivoactive 4 for a year or so now and I've been liking it. The body battery is a fun feature, sleep is pretty good for a wearable and I appreciate having all phone notifications off lol. Battery life is ok, but I recommend getting charge cords for home and in the car. Since I wear it to track sleep I don't charge at night and always forget to charge at home. When driving to work or anywhere really, I just plug it in and keep the battery charged that way.
I'm looking for a smartwatch that broadcasts your HR via bluetooth so I can connect it to my iFit equipment. Do either of these do this? I'm finding it difficult to look at specs on watches (not wanting Apple) and to be able to find this feature listed.
Yes, I have the 4 and bought a bluetooth chest strap. Software compatibility may be problematic. The device can only connect to one app or so it seemed to me. Couldn't find a way to share signal. Truly can't say if you should even be able to do that. Its the strap limitation, most likely. So i use all the 4 apps amd tracking then share activity history with my other apps.
In all the 4 has so much more activity features with the absolute best battery life. I dont need an amoled bright screen just to see my heart rate or do a basic reply to a text that ill call them back.
Plus it stores music from Spotify app offline (stays synced if i update the playlist automatically too) so i can leave my phone on silent in my bag (vs have to carry it in my pockets).
$180 is best price for new i have seen. Mot cheap, but a good value.
I bought one for $179.99 in January this year also from Buydig. I would have expected this to go down since there are better and newer models in there.

There are no newer Vivoactive models yet. And the features you may be alluding to are gimmicks that run apps which are not adding to activity tracking. For activity minded watches (not organizational or pretty display minded users) this is excellent mix of functionality. Of course the hard-core Garmin lines are more rugged and even more activity minded but that is its own class of even higher priced devices. Not really an apples to apples comparison.

Yes it does actually through a 3rd party app.
