Do you mountain bike much? Every single MTB'er I know wears Five Ten. The soles on them are flat bottom with hard rubber for max power transfer to the pedals and max grip - your foot is much less likely to slip off pedals with pins. This is a screaming deal for these shoes. People regularly paid $80-$100 for them a couple of years back.

Edit: apparently these are a little more flexible than the Freeriders so if you ride hard they might not be the best choice but if you're a casual rider they're great

They are pretty high quality/tough mtb shoes and some come with mounts for cleats. I have a couple of pair and if you have wide hobbit feat like me you'll want to get a 1/2 or full size bigger (depending how Hobbity you are.)
I compare these to good ole' Vans in regards to fit, style and grip.
