Note: I already have 3 of those upgraded from the Pro 6. Great units. These will go to my mother-in laws.

Also run a wired backhaul
Plus, this is data collection city. I have no conspiracy theories for data collection but I personally dislike contributing to a multimillion dollar industry with 0 reward and especially hate the idea of paying a subscription fee to data collectors.
Without trade in that's $140 per router for mid-range specs. It's a cheap way to get into 6e if you're buying as a standalone router for a small space and split with family/friends. If you don't have any 6e clients, avoid, and if you actually intend to do a mesh setup with wireless backhaul you should probably avoid bc it will use either the 5ghz or the 6ghz band and that band will not be usable.
What system would you recommend for a totally wireless setup? My parents have a large 1 story home with lots of walls and a bedroom on one side of the home and the modem on the other. It's got to be about 4k SF home. I have the old AC Linksys Velop triband system at my home with 4 or 5 nodes set up and it's solid.I was thinking of buying one of those used for my parents. Is wifi 6 with 3 nodes better in general than the AC triband Velop with 4 nodes? This would be totally wireless

There are many, many ways to run the wired backhaul with minimum effort on your part. Just a quick Google Search will fix you up
Google and Amazon routers are made for idiots, that is why they are my choice of router
Too many routers bad
Too few router bad
You will not know until you start setting it up
First just set up wirelessly, and then go from there. You are making it too complex and overthinking the deal
At this price no brainer
Also testing you see is without wired backhaul

It is a great system and performs well, there's always some niche thing someone will come up and say it is missing that does not affect the performance as much as they claim
It's the same people who will say oneplus cellphone has all the best components in it therefore it is infinitely better phone than iPhone
