This is an older model to the Costco UQ8000. Definitely recommend the one from Costco.

How is this compared to the 86" 1k costco deal?

Looked at the reviews, people are visibly upset with the quality of the picture.

It says it's 2022 though. Scratchhead

Either way, I'd go with Costco for the 5 year warranty.

Bestbuy has it for the same price as well. I'm curious what the actual difference is other than a extra warranty.

I should ask, what's the difference from this vs the one at Costco sam's BJ's that's 1k as well that's floating around here?

I happen to visit the store and check the Costco model of 1k, the picture quality is not good but can't complain for the price

I asked a Costco Rep yesterday about 5 years warranty, he said that it's applicable on OLED tvs

Tempted to just get it. Thought about going up $500 but not sure what else to consider at the price point for a large room.

It's an 86" tv for $1000. It's going to be a cheap IPS panel. Blacks will look somewhat gray. There will halos around white objects on black backgrounds. Colors won't be very accurate. The viewing angle will actually be ok thanks to being an IPS panel. Response times will be poor and there will be motion blur. You get what you pay for. Yet if you aren't very discerning about picture quality (I know a lot of people that won't notice any of that stuff) this is a massive tv for cheap.

I got to play with a 65" a bit ago, it was very good looking imo, next to a Samsung au800 I think it was.. jmo better colors, and not washed. I ordered one soon after from cc as BJ's were up on the shelf still and didn't have a forklift operator till the next day

Sadly The Costco warranty doesn't cover OLED burn in. Which seems to be the largest problem with OLED.

Best Buy warranty covers OLED burn in though is my understanding.

I agree with you, My eyes much prefer IPS panels compared to BUDGET VA panels. Ya really notice it when they're sitting side by side.
