Absolutely!! Takes a long time for price to drop on digital games. After about a month on most titles there's a 10-15 off sale and prices typically go down from there depending the titles. Not to mention buy 2 get one deals or used copy's from OfferUp, fb, GameFly etc. also the Benifit of resale on your disc games, trading or gifting to someone when your done
Physical games hold their value. Greatest Hits MSRPed $20 are still $20 used on ebay ten, twenty years later. Compare to "Nintendo will close the Wii U and 3DS eShops on March 27th, 2023." Digital purchases are rentals. Expect modern physical games to hold their value even better than retro as fewer physical are sold today due to the move to digital.
Most insiders are speculating that there won't be a mid-gen refresh like there was last generation. Last generation, the consoles launched with hardware multiple generations behind PC hardware, especially the CPUs. They were using ancient, poor performance hardware the day they came out. This generation, consoles launched with performance parity to mid-high end gaming PCs. On top of that, we can see with the new generation CPUs that Moore's law is basically dead. CPU generational performance increases are basically at a standstill, with only increasing the wattage (and therefore heat) increasing gaming performance. GPUs have also had to drastically increase wattage and size to increase performance. There won't be much performance to gain with the small form factor thermal limitations. Plus, with inflation and recession pretty much killing any major expensive R&D, more powerful consoles would be even more expensive to make. $1,000 consoles won't sell well, and would cause Sony/Microsoft to lose a massive amount of money. Not to mention, AMD is holding back it's own CPU and GPU releases, because their products aren't selling, and they have a major oversupply of Ryzen 5000 and RDNA2 chips. The next big upgrade will probably be AMD 3D-vcache APU powered consoles, but they're already holding back their own 3d-vcache GPUs until late next year, and aren't planning on releasing their own 3d-vcache APUs until 2026.

Are the deals for disc games really that much better than the deals for digital games?

Is better physical than digital, if u dont like the game you can sell/trade, not a digital one, also yeah, physical games go cheaper faster than digital
damn it's nice to see it in stock for a good while
I'm seeing them a lot lately. I'm not sure if manufacturing ramped up for the holidays or demand dropped but if one is looking it shouldn't be difficult anymore.

it's also super rare to see the disc only with no game which i would prefer. I wish BB had this since i have some of their GC

Getting a disc version is a must. You can buy a game digital or disc at whichever is cheaper. And best part of all you can resell discs that is why I go strictly disc only purchases
