I think there's a statistic that the best deals are before black friday. black friday deals are kinda garbage items that get you in the door in my experience. slickdeals happen at 2am from a price mistake 😏

I learned from another comment that Costco insurance does not cover burn in. Just FYI

Shopping for a TV after a long time and looking for some advice. Looking for 85"+ and have selected Samsung QN95B which after employee discount and 2yr free care comes out to be $2638. Any other equivalent from Sony or LG that beats Samsung QLED picture quality or you prefer?

It's sitting in the cart and really debating on whether I should pull the trigger or not. Blippi and Micki are going to look way better on this 😂
Wait for an 83" Sony or LG OLED.

Guys, what do you think? Is the C2 worth the likely $300 premium over the B2? I don't expect the C2 to be less than $1600, for the 65-inch, during BF.

The B2 at $1300 for the 65-inch is darn good, and I don't think it will get any lower before Black Friday.

The C2 could be lower somewhere besides COSTCO, but I would greatly prefer buying from them. Also, I have a 55-inch B6 now with over five years of usage with zero issues of any kind, and I'm not worried about burn-in.

Great price, no Oled as of today really compares. I will suggest though that I would prefer an 83" Oled like a C1 which can be bought for $3K or waiting till next year as the C2 83" will be that price as well.

Personally I do not like the tv bezels on l any of the Samsung 4k Qleds this year, looks cheap and not premium.

Love the way the 8K tvs look though, I would suggest the QN800B 85" over the QN95B if buying LED.

Honestly though after owning an Oled it's so difficult to use any LED tv as it lacks depth, the 3d like image is just something that really can't be produced because the contrast isn't the same.

Only real advantage to led is no burn in (normal use) and overall screen brightness, everything else Oled is better.

Hmm...getting cheaper and cheaper. Do I return the B2 55 I picked up for 999, and get the 65 for 1299? That price differential is getting smaller!

I think its worth the money, but not sure if its worth the headache...
No headache at all, I wouldn't buy any 55" tv as they're too small. 65" as of today unless being used as a monitor is minimum.

Box that small tv up and upgrade.

man this is too good. i been eyeing the c2 but the b2 brightness seems perfect and about the same. I don't know that the EVO panel is worth that extra $500.

plus the citi extra warranty ends next year.

The other thing to consider, besides brightness, is the color gradient, which is quite a bit better on the C2 and results in less noticeable banding, compared to the B2. That would be my main reason to stay away from the B2. I despise banding.

This price is valid till 12/24, if you're OK with rolling dice it won't go OOS. Otherwise, buy and don't open. I don't think this is that exceptional of a deal though. I'd wait and see personally
Or you can have a delivery on the 12/24

Will black Friday offer a better deal? Any thoughts?
You haven't noticed yet? In the past 3 years, there's no more such thing as Black Friday sale.

Black Friday sale these days happens before Black Friday and that is now.... Yes right now, It is happening now. Because companies are now competing to get your money first before it even gets to Black Friday

Banding doesn't bother me and very few notice it, but Sony offers best processing for that.

A80J/K or A90J will have better processing for banding be any LG.

I own a BX and CX, the difference is literally non existent unless you're putting up test charts. B2 is a great deal cost/price. No matter which way anyone outs it, a $4-500 savings is a lot.

Any Samsung or Sony equivalent? I just don't like the WebOS on LG TV.

Look for midway the thread... 20% coupon was for $9 which worked on both 77 C2 and G2 as they were listed on sale price as MSRP.
This does not work anymore, don't waste your money on a coupon

MiniLed can get much much brighter for hdr. And local dimming is very close to oled black levels in some sets now.

Bought from Best Buy. Would have loved the warranty from Costco but it is what it is. This is still the best TV for my wants at this price. Thanks OP

No, no and no.

G2 is rated at 1000Nits max for hdr. Doesn't matter if your tv is rated for 2000Nits , you need content to display it.

Example , a movie is mastered at 700nits. Doesn't matter how bright your set is, because the correct level is 700 so properly calibrated display will have the same exact image.

The advantage of Oled is the precise detail that no led can match, simply because it uses "zones" to light a particular area and turn others off. Oled has self lit individual pixels so the accuracy will always be better.

Sony Z9K is one of the brightest tvs , but falls extremely short next to an Oled for this very reason. Overall screen brightness may be brighter but the detail in highlights can never match an Oled and why an Oled will still display certain highlights brighter because no led has that many zones to match a self lit pixel.

I own both technologies, from LG Oled to a Samsung 8K 85". Mini Led either raise the blacks levels or crush them, Oled is superior in both.

What do you think of the B2, for the price, over the C2? I currently have an LG B6 55-inch. I want to upgrade to a 65-inch. I'm torn between waiting for the C2 to drop or getting the B2. What would you recommend? Is the C2 worth $300 more than the B2?
