I think there's a statistic that the best deals are before black friday. black friday deals are kinda garbage items that get you in the door in my experience. slickdeals happen at 2am from a price mistake 😏

I learned from another comment that Costco insurance does not cover burn in. Just FYI

No, no and no.

I own both technologies, from LG Oled to a Samsung 8K 85". Mini Led either raise the blacks levels or crush them, Oled is superior in both.
You are forgetting things like ABL that holds brightness on oled back. OLED can't sustain bright scenes for long. I won't argue that the G2 is superior to mini-led in most ways, especially price. It's more than 2x the price, but most would not say it's more than 2x the image quality.

I was an OLED fanboy and I own a C1 and a U8H. HDR on the U8H is easily more impressive. Trust me, the blacks are within 5% as good on the U8H.

That said, I'd rather watch a very dark show on the C1. As long as it's in my basement with all the curtains closed.

For most people, the large extra cost over top tier mini led, just isn't worth it for most types of viewing. Most people are going to be happier with top-tier mini-led over oled - especially for the price difference, and especially if they don't have a very light controlled room.

If OOS for shipping, does that mean local warehouse is definitely OOS also? Or is it worth checking in store?

I haven't tried the u8h but i have a cx and a vizio pq 2018 which has a comparable contrast https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...shold=0.16

It's extremely bright but i hate how bright it is. the oled is just miles better and a joy to watch. the blooming sucks and i thought micro led would fix that but seems like that's not the case from reviews i've read.

I just was burned by slickdeals getting the vizio back then … i feel like once you go oled you don't go back. the only thing holding oled back according to all reviews is brightness and im so against extreme brightness.. the oled i have can be extremely bright imo from my eyes or maybe the room is generally dark but i'm all for OLED.

the price sucks though and it's falling a lot lately

I bought the 65" yesterday. Website indicates prices is valid until 12/24, so it is unlikely they will reduce it again before that.

I just checked costco.com. It showed it was available for quick ship in my area (central coast, California). I picked up a 77 inch c2 2 days ago at my local Costco. The only b2 they had in stock was the 65 inch model. I have been keeping an eye on the oled's in my local costco. I am almost certain that they have never carried the 77 inch b2 at my local store. Give your local store a call. They will let you know if and how many are in stock. It helps to have the item or model number. I was sure tempted to go with the b2. From my research the differences are marginal. I am replacing a 10 year old plasma screen that will go into my grandson's room.

I just called costco.com, and they would not allow me a price adjustment outside of the 30 days. I purchased it on September 18 for $2,299 and now it's $1,999 (plus extra $100 streaming credit that was not offered back then). Has anyone else been lucky with getting a price adjustment?

I plan to return the TV to my local Costco, and wonder if I need all the boxes? I threw them all away weeks ago. Thx.

I got a Sony XR75X95J at $1300 price from the last Walmart deal few weeks ago. But thinking to get the 65 inch B2 from Costco as OLED looks a lot better!

Having hard time making the decision !!

Guys, what do you think? Is the C2 worth the likely $300 premium over the B2? I don't expect the C2 to be less than $1600, for the 65-inch, during BF.

The B2 at $1300 for the 65-inch is darn good, and I don't think it will get any lower before Black Friday.

The C2 could be lower somewhere besides COSTCO, but I would greatly prefer buying from them. Also, I have a 55-inch B6 now with over five years of usage with zero issues of any kind, and I'm not worried about burn-in.
I'm stuck in this exact decision; I've been waiting on this class of set to drop in price for a few years. I think around $2k or so is about what these sets are going to cost for the next few years give or take. So now, go for the $2k (actually $1900 after streaming credit) for the B2, or pay an additional $600 for the C2. After going back and forth several times, I still can't make a decision. Everything seems to point to the C2 being slightly better, but not sure if that difference justifies an additional $600.

And of course the B2 keeps going in and out of stock, which only complicates matters. Like you, I don't want to buy outside of Costco simply because of their strong warranty and return policy. I'm rapidly approaching flip a coin territory.

Costco insurance does not cover burn in. Bought C2 just last week and confirmed with the store the warranty does not cover burn in.

If your plan is to rebuy the same tv, maybe just buy the tv first and use the box on the new tv to return the old tv? Or just buy the new tv and return it using the "old" receipt?

I wish I could pick up a Sony equivalent for the same price.
