these cheap phones are great to keep at in the car, at work, or in your bag just in case for emergencies. just remember to at least use them about once a month to keep them active else they could go inactive and then game over.

Yes. If you wait 60 days before transferring the minutes/airtime and haven't added 4+ lines to your account already, you'll also get 10k points per line. 20k points is worth much more than 120 (60*2) days of airtime, so that's usually the way to go (plus then you can unlock the phones and make them more useful as a donation if you just care about the airtime.)

anyone having issues with these phones? my phone seems to turn on...the smaller outer lcd is working. but the main display is black. nothing happening there.. any ideas?

Good to see they are extending the deal beyond Sunday's Cyber Week. Here it is Monday and still same $49.99. For those of you who want a second pair of them can use and don't want the hassle of creating a new account can use code "10Now" to get $10 off $10+ (exp 12/17) to get another pair for $39.99.

The lowest I've ever seen 1 year of Tracfone service is $20 off eBay in past SD. But with the phone and 10k point promotion it is even sweeter now with this deal.

Okay so I already went all over the post twice, just to make sure I'm not confused, I just placed an order for one of these bundles which (as a new user) should get me to 15K points after activation, if I place another order (and activate both lines) that should get me 35K points which equals $450 discount over TF store? or am I miscalculating something?

Also on TF store I see most phones that are worth getting OOS, I wonder if any of the reconditioned iphones come back in stock often

I used to have five lines under my account. I merged the balance and deleted four lines. Can I activate two more lines for rewards points. AFIK, rewards points are capped for five lines only.

I believe so. 5 lines max according to the experts on HoFo. If you have any current pending points, though, don't change anything until they all vest. (For the benefit of others.)

Following the "guidelines" posted in the thread, I chatted with a rep last night and was able to add two lines. The 20k reward points didn't show up immediately in the active window, but they were there when I logged in on a different browser (they did show up in the active window a few minutes later). I also activated the two phones via the rep and they both went through smoothly.

The phones are indeed junk - the screen resolution is just horrible. And I almost forgot how to operate flip phones. But I'm only in it for the reward points, hoping to reward myself a decent iPhone with a $300 credit eventually after the points become redeemable.

For those who're T-Mobile customers interested in trading them up to a budget smartphone, you may be out of luck. I tried it - the brand didn't show up in the list of eligible devices.

I wish I had known that the reward points were actually at the account level. I did a similar deal over a year ago 3 times but set up 3 different accounts. I've ported out two numbers for Visible deals and now I'm left with two accounts with some unused points.

No, I just got refunded half the cost and kept both. After the points vest on the broken one I will just trash it.

The broken one is not my primary though... so you might need to return both if you can't switch them Frown

People have said that making any current line changes (beyond adding more lines) may put your pending 20k points at risk. It is a royal pain to get any missing points. The chat can't help. The phone reps don't have the info. Most of the phone reps don't even know there is a 10000 point offer going on.

If you haven't done it already I would port out first then add the other two lines. Good luck.
