these cheap phones are great to keep at in the car, at work, or in your bag just in case for emergencies. just remember to at least use them about once a month to keep them active else they could go inactive and then game over.

Yes. If you wait 60 days before transferring the minutes/airtime and haven't added 4+ lines to your account already, you'll also get 10k points per line. 20k points is worth much more than 120 (60*2) days of airtime, so that's usually the way to go (plus then you can unlock the phones and make them more useful as a donation if you just care about the airtime.)

This is essentially 20k points (2x Add-a-Line bonuses) on Tracfone for $30, 20k points gets you a $300 off coupon. That gets you multiple refurbished iPhone XRs you can trade in for a Pixel 7 or for Apple GC credit.

if you are brand new to tracfone dont forget to use a referral code for 5,000 points. then if you want to activate the other phone just add it to your account and get another 10,000 points. google "tracfone referral"

Anyone else having problems logging in to your account on the tracfone website? App seems to be working, not the web.
FWIW, for desktop, I can not log in using FireFox but can using Chrome.

Anyone has tried to use this to extend the existing service for one year? I just tried it today and got big trouble. It is supposed to be 1200 call/text/data, but I only got 1200 call minutes and 0 text/data. I contacted Tracfone 3 times. Every time they said that the plan I added was just 400 minutes and no text/data. I don't know why so but they all refused to add the missing text/data. Very weird. Anyone has similar experience? Thanks a lot.

That's just a canned warning message. You can still use another sim for services.

Yep. Just a warning message. Got the same text that my phone has been unlocked. Went to website, no code given. I put in a T-mobile Connect prepaid SIM. Got the warning message, dismissed it. Tried making phone calls after I got signal, and it worked fine. Restart phone with the new SIM in if it doesn't. The phone might need so.e carrier settings to download.

It appears the phone is actually factory unlocked - it's been discussed elsewhere. Initially I didn't believe it. But it seems to be true. I did this deal and also the single phone deal twice from HSN. So I have a total of 4. I haven't activated the latter two phones since TF is only given 500 rewards. SO I have two "unlocked" and two "locked".

But here's what I have found. First I tried a Visible sim (which I will cancel soon as I've got the GC). It took a little longer to connect the network but it worked - in both "unlocked" and "locked" phones. I then tried AT&T (from wife's work phone). It didn't work. Then I went to Settings->Wireless & networks->Cellular networks->Access Point Names and found 3 entries. At first none of them worked. I then restarted the device. Voila - AT&T also worked. It still complains about non-Verizon network though. Again I tried all these steps on both "unlocked" and "locked" phones.

So please check the APN setting and see if there's any T-Mobile option with your T-Mobile sim in. Check the one on the top (?), power off and on the phone and see if it works. Please report your results back here. We actually have a family plan with T-Mobile. But I only have one physical sim, which I can't use on any other device until the one it's in gets unlocked (two more weeks to go!)

Update: Just noticed AT&T sent a message saying this device is no longer supported Frown
