It is a good idea for someone who is just trying to save some money. Domino's pizza is decent. Not the best, but not the worst.
I got my last Domino's gift card from cashing out some points from Fetch.
I was just spending down BC on a card I plan to pack away, b/c my old one won $120 in their sweepstakes and I was going to start concentrating on that one instead,
but I WAS planning to get items with sale ending today, and use a few Qs expiring today.
It's not dirty. Stock is sometimes an issue, but it's the only RA for quite a ways around a quite densely populated area, and the only one close to a freeway exit. The next closest one doesn't understand Qs at all, will use my BC for I can get them to scan SQs, etc., so I just stick to this one unless I'm desperate for something OOS here.
All in all, I still prefer it to CVS (I quit WAGs years ago-THEY are dirty around here!)
Online RAing isn't bad, though. Just beware of fragile or items that can leak b/c their packing sucks.
there's a Round Table next to the RA I mentioned above, and it too reviews very bad. I've had a $30GC for at least 2 years (glad they don't expire in CA). I ended up just buying Schwans, but even THEY have taken a dive. The company was bought by a Korean firm -I only mention the country b/c I don't think they know pizza. The reformulation doesn't bother me too much, but the sloppiness of sauce on the edge of the crust on one side, and none on the other side, toppings all on one side tell me that it's defrosted/refrozen. And that issue is exactly why I bought Schwan's. They USED TO keep things frozen until they got to my house. Now I don't trust them.
I was frozen food manager at Safeway for 3 years, and I'd sometimes get stuck in the checkstand for HOURS while my pallet or dolly sat on the sales floor. I could call produce to the SM to put it back in the freezer, but that doesn't mean they got around to it and I couldn't see from the checkstand to confirm that they did. So a lot of stuff got at least partially thawed. AND when a load came in, if the freezer was full or blocked, whoever unloaded the truck would stick it in whatever REFRIGERATED box was available- meat/dairy/produce. So it could sit THERE for hours until someone came in to move stuff around.
All that to say why I got Schwan's. But now even that option has hit the skids. Even if I was willing to pay said arm and a leg, I don't know if I'd get anything better.
I'll add that the Safeway I go to now stocks frozen food on the graveyard shift, and I've never seen the clerks in the checkstand. Sucky shift, but less likelihood for thawed product. Might be something shoppers should be aware of.

I am shocked by the pizza discussions. A pizza wasteland in parts of California? What do they eat there? I mean, I personally like Mexican food more than pizza or other Italian, but I can't imagine being somewhere where it's hard to get decent pizza. I live in New Jersey, and there's a pizza place in almost every shopping center (small strip mall places). I was just reading the comments to my husband. He wants to move South. I don't think he's prepared for not having the convenience of NJ, but he says he is.
